Comment: To suggest that Russia's recent skirmish with Georgia was not pre-planned and is carefully orchestrated is to put one's head in the sand. Notice the follow up actions-Syria and Jordan leaders off for a "visit", they are not discussing global warming. Russia wants to become THE broker again among Arab countries and it is seizing upon an opportunity we have presented to them. We had best meet force with force. Time for the USA to move its German bases to Hungary, increase its speed of talks with the Ukraine. In addition we should invite the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and other selected Arab countries to DC-immediately-we must see this as a battle of minds to be won.
