Winograd Report: Minister Haim Ramon said: ''This document has completely cleared the Prime Minister''. Ramon also called on Barak ''to show responsibility by remaining in the government, despite promises he would quit.'' Winograd Report: Likud said that the Winograd report was damning, and clearly put the responsibility for events at the political level, at the head of which stood Ehud Olmert. ''Ehud Olmert must accept responsibility for the events and resign. Barak must also leave the government, as he had promised to do so after the release of this report.'' (Guysen.International.News)

Hamas has introduced Iranian funds into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah terminal. According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Qabas, an Israeli security delegation headed by the General Amos Gilad went to Cairo on Monday in secret and complained that Iran had sent large amounts of money to terrorists in Gaza who had made a pilgrimage to Mecca for the Haj. On Tuesday the Knesset Tuesday marked the centenary of the birth of Avraham "Yair" Stern, the founder of the right-wing Lehi militia in 1940. Born on December 23, 1907 (19 Shvat) in Poland, he immigrated to Palestine in 1924 and became active in the Haganah. A brilliant student of classics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, he was described as a unique ''soul'' by his professors. He joined the Irgun in the 1930's and at the outbreak of the Second World War, advocated attacks on the British and the Arabs. He was captured and shot by the British on February 12, 1942, in his hideout in a southern district of Tel Aviv. (Guysen.International.News)
