International 'Islamophobia' Conference Promotes Sharia Agenda

Andrew Harrod and Sam Nunberg
Breitbart

Objective observers should be rightfully concerned by the "International Conference on Islamophobia: Law & Media" held by the Turkish government's Directorate General of Press and Information (DGPI or BYGEM in Turkish) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) this past September 12-13 in Istanbul's Grand Tarabya Hotel. Conference participants substantiated all too many threats emanating from various Muslims and their allies, calling into question their respect for free speech and freedom of expression.

Lebanon tenders encroach on Israeli waters

Lawyers say Israel could lose territory if it does not object to the Lebanese energy exploration tenders in court, or even militarily.

 Amiram Barkat

Lebanon is trying to redraw its border with Israel. Official Israeli sources say that Lebanon is about to award offshore oil and gas exploration licenses in areas that encroach on Israel's exclusive economic zone (EEZ). It is unclear what Israel plans to do about this matter, which could ignite the border dispute with Lebanon. However, international law experts say that Israeli is liable to lose territory if it does not object to the Lebanese acts in court, or even militarily.

The Holes in Iranian President Rouhani's Charm Offensive

Dore Gold (Israel Hayom)
  • Iranian President Rouhani wrote in the Washington Post that Iran's "peaceful nuclear energy program" was for "generating nuclear power" and "diversifying" Iran's energy resources. Yet a U.S. State Department study showed that Iran had enough oil and gas to supply the country for at least 200 years.
  • Then there is the question of why Iran insisted that it must enrich its own uranium by itself. Tehran actually had only one working reactor for producing electricity at Bushehr, which used uranium fuel that was supplied by Russia. So why spend billions on enrichment plants at Natanz and Fordo? Finland, Spain, South Korea, and Sweden all import enriched uranium rather than build an uneconomical enrichment infrastructure.

Al-Qaeda Terror Returns to Kenya

Irfan Al-Alawi

Kenyan Islam was originally moderate, contemplative, and traditional; the very title of "Al Shabaab" [The Youth] indicates, since 2001, a new generation of extremists.
The East African country of Kenya, with 44 million people, today has a Christian majority of 83% and a Muslim minority of 11%. In 1998, Kenya and its neighbor Tanzania became the first countries where al-Qaeda staged massive atrocities. The attacks on the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, and Dar es Salaam, Nairobi's counterpart in Tanzania, were almost simultaneous, but the assault in Nairobi had more victims. In Kenya, 212 were killed and about 4,000 injured; in Tanzania 11 died and 85 were wounded.

Al Qaeda Quickly Constructing Main Mideast Base in Syria

Yaakov Lappin  •  September 30, 2013

Al Nusra Front, Al Qaeda's official arm in Syria, is quickly entrenching itself in the north and east of Syria, where the Assad regime's rule has collapsed. Jihad will spread outwards to the region, then threaten global security -- possibly with biological and chemical weapons.
Fighters from Al Nusra Front pose for a photograph.
Al Qaeda is quickly constructing its main regional Middle East base in Syria, from where it plans to export terrorism and Islamic radicalism to neighboring states, then to the West, a new report released by an Israeli security research institute warned.

The jihadis later aspire, according to the report, to turn "Greater Syria" -- an old geographic term encompassing Syria, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories -- into an Islamic caliphate.

The exhaustive study took a year to compile, according to researchers at the Tel Aviv-based Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center, which released it.

The Center itself is a part of the Israeli Intelligence and Heritage Commemoration Center, founded in the 1980s by leading members of the Israeli intelligence community.

The Church of Victimology

Sultan Knish

One fine day religion died. Morality shortly followed it. Any values based on some antique prophets or philosophers went into the rubbish bin. The table was cleared and its blankness was the new world, the terra nova, the blank slate of a revolution in human ideas. Unfortunately there was nothing to actually put there. It had all been thrown away.

What followed was a condensation. A Reader's Digest edition of all the moral codes that had come before it. The unnecessary sections were trimmed. The scissors were wielded mercilessly destroying everything... except for one thing.

All that remained was victimology.

Sex Jihad and Western Disbelief

woman-in-hijabThe sex jihad is back in the news.  Last Thursday, during an address to the National Constituent Assembly, Tunisian Interior Minister Lotfi Bin Jeddo announced that Tunisian girls who had traveled to Syria to perform “sex jihad” had returned after being sexually “swapped between 20, 30, and 100 rebels and they come back bearing the fruit of sexual contacts [from pregnancies to diseases] in the name of sexual jihad and we are silent doing nothing and standing idle.”

Several video interviews with Tunisian females who went to the sex jihad further testify to the veracity of this phenomenon.  For example, 19-year-old Lamia, upon returning, confessed how she was made to have sex with countless men—including Pakistanis, Afghanis, Libyans, Tunisians, Iraqis, Saudis, Somalis, and a Yemeni, all in the context of the “sex jihad, and that she and many other women were abused, beaten, and forced to do things “that contradict all sense of human worth.” Now back in Tunisia, Lamia has been to a doctor finding that she is five months pregnant. Both she and her unborn are carrying the aids virus (read her whole story).

CAIR’s Islamophobia Meltdown

RNS-CAIR-REPORTTwo days after the release of a CAIR report claiming to expose the network financing “Islamophobia”, Charles C. Johnson ran his own report documenting CAIR’s convoluted financing schemes.

While the CAIR report attempted to stigmatize terrorism research by reporting on the straightforward funding of organizations and individuals such as Robert Spencer; the Johnson report showed that CAIRdescribed by the Justice Department as an unindicted co-conspirator in financing terrorism, had engaged in convoluted methods to conceal its financing sources while laundering money from abroad.

Unlike the groups it is targeting, whose language and ideas it criticizes, CAIR went well beyond words, doing everything from helping fund terrorists to obstructing government investigations of terrorism.

Despite its theatrics, CAIR’s Islamophobia report showed nothing except that American organizations researching Islamic terrorism were funded by other Americans. The Johnson report however showed that CAIR had received millions from foreign governments, including Qatar which is notorious for funding terrorist groups like Hamas, and used a shell game to hide the foreign sources of its financing.

The Final Journey: Nahal Brigade Soldiers Complete 57 Kilometer Beret March

Last month, after six months of advanced training, soldiers of the Nahal Infantry Brigade marched with pride to complete their 57 kilometer beret march. The march challenged their enduranc
e and skills – and most importantly, their sense of brotherhood.
9:00 a.m. is fast approaching. The sun has risen over Masada, the temperature is rising after a cool night, and five hundred faces are painted in camouflage colors. Fifteen hours earlier, with 20 kilograms on their backs, and 57 kilometers ahead of them, the newest soldiers of the Nahal Brigade began a journey together that would test their strength, their endurance, and perhaps most importantly, their ability to work together.

The masa kumta (beret march) is the final test which marks the completion of six months of training to become an infantry soldier. The 57 km trek tests all of the material – battle knowledge, preparation for combat and survival techniques – that the soldiers have learned in the past six months. The hike also includes a five km section where soldiers carry one another on stretchers to safety. The soldiers’ main job is not simply to finish the beret march successfully, but to support the other soldiers to the finish line as well, cheering them on and encouraging them. Pvt. Adam Hartwick, a lone soldier from Canada, explained how he got his fellow Nahal Brigade soldiers through the grueling beret march: “I told jokes, made them laugh and counted down the kilometers we had left,” he said.

U.S. gives Iranian president a 2,700-year-old artifact worth over $1 million

Robert Spencer

Rouhani.jpgThe naivete of the kuffar is endlessly amusing

There is nothing wrong with the U.S. returning an item that had been looted in the first place. The problem is that the Infidels are the ones who are always making gestures of good will, granting concessions, etc. These gestures are never, ever reciprocated: Islamic supremacists expect the Infidels to pay tribute, but would never dream of doing it themselves.
"Rouhani home with US ‘gift’ of silver griffin: reports," from AFP, September 28 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):
Tehran (AFP) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday brought home a 2,700-year-old Persian artifact the US administration gave him as “a special gift" to Iranians, media reports said. “The Americans contacted us on Thursday and said 'we have a gift for you',” Rouhani told reporters upon arrival at the airport in Tehran, the ILNA news agency reported.
“They gave it back as a special gift to the Iranian nation.”
Rouhani was speaking of a 7th century BC silver Persian drinking cup in the shape of a winged Griffin, a legendary creature with the head of an eagle and body of a lion.
It is reported to be worth more than a million dollars.

"Starving" "Palestinians" celebrate opening of five-star hotel

Hey, this thing will be great for firing rockets off the roof at Israeli civilians!
"Grand Park Hotel Celebrates Being First Five-Star Hotel in Palestine," from the Palestine News Network, September 25 (thanks to Maxwell):
The headquarters of the Grand Park hotel in Ramallah celebrated its coronation as the first "Five-Star" hotel in Palestine. The celebration was attended by Rula Maay’a, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Musa Hadid, the Mayor of Ramallah, the hotel’s Chairman Loay Qawas, and its General Director, Mohammad Zamlat. There was also a crowd of businessmen and representatives from many institutions. The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Rula Maay’a, said during her speech at the ceremony, "tourism is the most important source of income for Palestine.” She added, “we started the implementation of several projects over the past years, including the ‘Star rating,’ which was implemented over three phases.” Maay’a explained, “the first phase included preparations of standards that met international requirements and principles, while the second phase included holding sessions for the employees of the hotel sector to inform them about the rating mechanism, and the third phase, which began last June, was the actual classification of hotels.”

President Obama and Israel: Looming Confrontations

Isi Leibler
http://wordfromjerusalem.com/?p=4827

One might have hoped that Obama’s calamitous mishandling of recent Middle East crises, climaxing with his disastrous response to the Syrian use of chemical weapons, would have taught him a few lessons on regional politics.

Regrettably, his address to the United Nations General Assembly last week proved otherwise. By reverting to his original Cairo speech - insisting that resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian peace “would have a profound and positive impact on the entire Middle East and North Africa”, Obama has caused many Israelis not merely to question his competence but also his real intentions towards Israel.

Genesis and Occupation

Nurit Greenger

You will agree with me that G-D created the world and thus the world is His property. In that case G-D is allowed to do whatever He wants with his property.

Many years after the creation of the world, as the Bible tells us, G-D decided to give some of his property in Canaan, as He was entitled to do because he was the proprietor of that part of the land, to the Israelites, later on to be called Eretz Yisrael, later to become the kingdom of Israel and Judea, and today it is the state of Israel.

Therefore, when people tell you that Israel occupies land that in fact belongs to the Arabs, you need to make it simple that, this land was given to the Jews by God, and so whoever is pointing fingers of guilt at the Israelis-Jews as being occupiers of that land must go arbitrate the matter with G-D; we, Jews-Israelis are here to stay on our land from the river to the sea.

Reminder: R4BIA Is The End Of Zionists

Brian of London

Have you seen the new symbol for the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic revolution?

The western mainstream media don’t seem to be talking about the emergence of this symbol, but it’s certainly spreading like wildfire. We wrote on Israellycool about Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan using the symbol last week.
R4BIA Symbol of Islamic Resistance on a T-Shirt in Jerusalem’s Shuk - Phtoto: Brian of London
R4BIA Symbol of Islamic Resistance on a T-Shirt in Jerusalem’s Shuk – Phtoto: Brian of London

The symbol and it’s associated movement “R4BIA” has it’s own domain name (r4bia.com), media pack including many free-for-republication photos of it’s use and a long explanation of what R4BIA stands for.

As ever, the world of alternative media and blogs are the only place you can learn about this new phenomenon. The first and most comprehensive work is on the US site: Frontpage Mag written by Dawn Perlmutter:
The symbol allegedly originated as a four-fingered hand sign by pro-Morsi protesters during demonstrations in Egypt’s Rabia al-Adawiya Square. The hand gesture quickly evolved into an image of the hand commonly depicted in black on a bright yellow background. It is called the “R4BIA sign.” In English it is officially spelled in capital letters and the letter “A” is replaced with the number 4. It has become the symbol of the massacre of pro-Morsi supporters in Rabia al-Adawiya Square on August 14, 2013. This new sign already has its own history, legend and mysticism and it contains all the attributes that Islamists favor in their symbology, particularly martyrdom.

R4BIA Symbol Spotted In The Department of Homeland Security

Brian of London in Brian of London
mohamed elibiary twitter profile iconRemember that hand signal for the new global Islamist revolution to take over the world and put an end to all Zionists? Not and end to Zionism, an end to the actual Zionists. That would be me and my friends and family here in Israel.

And remember how we saw how the increasingly dictatorial and Islamic Prime Minister of Turkey was using the sign.

We saw how the sign had made it onto T-Shirts in the Jerusalem Old City and onto banners at the side of the stage for Israel’s Islamic Movement (which supports Hamas and Hezbollah and every other Islamic terrorist outfit).

I even gave my readers over at The Times of Israel a quick heads up on R4BIA because we think it will become increasingly important. Lets just remember what this symbol stands for again:
As is common with Islamic movements, the statement of aims for R4BIA is deceptive and mixes innocuous sounding hopes like “R4BIA is the birth of a new movement for freedom and justice” with more troublesome statements like “R4BIA is the end of Zionists”. Not the end of Zionism, the end of Zionists. In such a carefully worded statement, it’s hard to believe this is an oversight.

The Palestinian Use of Propaganda

Michael Curtis

The use of propaganda has a long history, going back to the Persians in 6th century B.C. The word itself can be traced back to at least the early 17th century when in January, 1622, Pope Gregory XV set up the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith. Its objective was missionary work to oppose the Protestant Reformation. In general, propaganda is the use of communication to influence the emotions, attitudes, and opinions of people in the attempt to get them to accept a particular political, religious, or economic point of view. It implies, in democratic as well as in non-democratic societies, conscious manipulation of the opinions of those societies.

Can We Finally Start Talking About The Global Persecution Of Christians?

via Can We Finally Start Talking About The Global Persecution Of Christians? | The Federalist.
After yet another bloody weekend, it’s time to speak frankly about who’s killing Christians and why
Wealthy Kenyans and Westerners bustled about Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi on Saturday. Families ate lunch in the food court. A radio station targeting Kenyan Asians was hosting a children’s event on the roof of the parking lot.
Around noon, armed gunmen stormed the mall and exploded grenades. Thousands of terrified people dropped to the floor, fled out of exits and hid in stores. The gunmen began lining people up and shooting some of the five dozen people they would slaughter and 240 people, ages 2 to 78, that they would wound.

Al-Shabaab, which is claiming credit for the attack, is reported to have singled out non-Muslims. “A witness to the attacks at Nairobi’s upscale mall says that gunmen told Muslims to stand up and leave and that non-Muslims would be targeted,” according to the Associated Press.

To weed out the infidels, according to news reports, the terrorists asked people for the name of Muhammad’s mother or to recite a verse from the Quran.
The Washington Post reported that one British mother and her young children survived when captors who shot her allowed her to leave on the condition she immediately convert to Islam. The siege of the mall, which included the taking of hostages, lasted four days. Three floors of the mall collapsed and bodies were buried in the rubble.

And that wasn’t even the worst terrorist attack of the weekend.

The next day, two suicide bombs went off as Christians were leaving Sunday services at All Saints Anglican Church in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Niquabs vs. the West

Paul Austin Murphy

The BBC's Newsbeat website has just published a piece on a 'damning survey' (as it's usually put) of young people's attitudes to Muslims in the UK. The results were rather negative. (The survey itself was carried out in June, 2013. This Newsbeat report -- written by Muslim reporter Sima Kotecha -- was published on the 25th of September.)
Perhaps because of that, the BBC itself saw that it was necessary to portray Muslims in a positive light in order to counteract such negativity. One way in which it did so -- and it's a way which others have replicated on many occasions -- was by using the now compulsory image of a Muslim woman (usually in a hijab) flying the Union Jack. (They use the Stars & Stripes in the United States.)

The Israel Navy will receive three new Super Dvora fast patrol boats, used for daily patrols and counter-terrorism missions along the coastline, from Israel Aerospace Industries, the defense company announced on Sunday.

Commenting on the order for new boats, Joseph Weiss, IAI’s president and CEO, said his company’s “commitment to the Israel Navy is among the deepest of Israeli and international defense industries.”

In addition to protecting coastlines, the Mark 3-type vessels can be used to help protect strategic assets at sea, such as Israel’s Exclusive Economic Zone, and disrupt smuggling attempts, IAI said.

BENJAMIN WEINTHAL: SYRIAN REBELS FACE GROWING THREAT FROM FOREIGN JIHADISTS…….

KGS

Syria is a toxic stew of  totalitarians fighting for control
LONG-KNIIVES
It’s now undeniable, whatever ‘moderate’ forces that were leading the FSA, are now overshadowed by the al-Qaida linked jihadist groups that have flooded the area. It has been always doubtful whether the leaders of the FSA were ever truly ‘moderates’ in the Western sense of the word, being comprised of Syrian Muslim Brotherhood members from the very beginning.
That argument has now been rendered moot.

Arab Spring End: Tunisia’s Ruling Islamists Fall

Supporters of the Islamist Ennahda movement light flares and wave flags during a rally in Tunis
Despite being the wellspring of the Arab Spring, Tunisia hasn’t gotten much attention. But the counterrevolution that took down the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt really began in Tunisia.

Back in October of last year, I predicted that Egypt and Tunisia were both headed for Counterrevolutions against Islamist rule. The revolution in Egypt happened and the protests and unrest in Tunisia has been growing.
Now events are approaching the endgame.

Tunisia’s ruling Islamists rejected on Monday a plan for them to step down pending elections, deepening a confrontation with secular opponents that threatens the most promising democratic transition to have emerged from the Arab Spring.

Fatah during peace talks: "The blood of Martyrs draws the borders of the homeland"

by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
During the current peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel, Fatah chose to glorify violence and Martyrdom death as the way to determine "the borders of the homeland":

"My homeland taught me that it is the blood of Martyrs (Shahids) that draws the borders of the homeland."
That text, together with a picture of a man holding a rifle, was posted by the administrator of one of Fatah's official Facebook pages, "Fatah - The Main Page," on Aug. 26, 2013.

ON THE TURKISH-SYRIAN BORDER – Syrian refugees, who have gone to great lengths to escape President Bashar Assad’s bombing campaign, attribute a large part of the violence in their country to the regime’s allies.

In interviews at refugee camps on the Turkish-Syrian border over the past week, the displaced persons accused the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia of enabling Assad’s regime to persevere and to inflict violence on innocent Syrians.

“We were deceived by these countries and Hezbollah,” said a male refugee.

The identities of the refugees cannot be disclosed because of fears of retaliation against family members remaining inside Syria.

Israeli-Palestinian Diplomacy: Whereto?

by BESA Center

BESA Center associates in roundtable discussion, from the pages of the BESA Bulletin, October 2013.

Several BESA Center research associates convened recently to fortunes and pitfalls of the newly reignited Israeli-Palestinian diplomatic talks. Among the points of debate: What brought about the talks, after so many years of deadlock, and what kind of agreement is feasible? What should Israel’s red lines be, and what should Israel do if the talks fail? The consensus: An interim accord or unilateral Israeli moves would be a mistake, and would only teach the Palestinians not to compromise.

Why were negotiations re-started now after so many years of deadlock?

Prof. Eytan Gilboa: Several successive American administrations have been obsessive with Israeli-Palestinian peace, believing it is a key for solving all the problems of the Middle East, especially US relations with the Arab and Muslim world. Although, this belief has been wrong from the beginning, part of it still drives US policy. Given the upheavals in the Middle East, the administration believes that an Israeli-Palestinian breakthrough is more important than ever.

Iranian Terrorism Under 'Moderate' Presidents

PolicyWatch 2095
Also available in العربية

The Islamic Republic's history suggests that the new president-elect will have neither the inclination nor the authority to curb the regime's sponsorship of terrorism.

Hassan Rouhani's victory in Iran's presidential election has been widely heralded as a protest vote against the hardliners and a window of opportunity for diplomatic breakthrough with Western powers. But such assumptions beg the question: just how much moderation should be expected from a "moderate" Iranian president, particularly with regard to state sponsorship of terrorism? Past precedent suggests that expectations should be tempered.

RAFSANJANI'S TERRORISM REPORT CARD

Rouhani is not the first Iranian "moderate" to win the presidency. Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, elected in 1989, was frequently described as a moderate as well. According to U.S. intelligence, however, he oversaw a long string of terrorist plots during his eight years in office.

The CIA linked Rafsanjani to terrorist plots as early as 1985, when he was serving as speaker of parliament. In a February 15, 1985, memo, the agency assessed that "Iranian-sponsored terrorism is the greatest threat to US personnel and facilities in the Middle East...Iranian-backed attacks increased by 30 percent in 1984, and the numbers killed in Iranian-sponsored attacks outpace fatalities in strikes by all other terrorist sponsors. Senior Iranian leaders such as Ayatollah Montazeri,...Prime Minister [Mir Hossein Mousavi], and Consultative Assembly speaker Rafsanjani are implicated in Iranian terrorism."

The Iranian ‘moderate’

The search, now 30 years old, for Iranian “moderates” goes on. Amid the enthusiasm of the latest sighting, it’s worth remembering that the highlight of the Iran-contra arms-for-hostages debacle was the secret trip to Tehran taken by Robert McFarlane, President Reagan’s former national security adviser. He brought a key-shaped cake symbolizing the new relations he was opening with the “moderates.”

We know how that ended.

Three decades later, the mirage reappears in the form of Hassan Rouhani. Strange résumé for a moderate: 35 years of unswervingly loyal service to the Islamic Republic as a close aide to Ayatollahs Khomeini and Khamenei. Moreover, Rouhani was one of only six presidential candidates, another 678 having been disqualified by the regime as ideologically unsound. That puts him in the 99th centile for fealty.

Rouhani is Khamenei’s agent but, with a smile and style, he’s now hailed as the face of Iranian moderation. Why? Because Rouhani wants better relations with the West.

"Facing Down Tough Times"

Before I discuss those tough times, I want to recommend that you read my Front Page Magazine article critiquing Abbas's speech at the UN. And then, please, prayers for little Zakkai, the almost three year old who has had multiple surgeries on his spine because of a recurring (benign but very aggressive) tumor.

Very recently he had a less invasive technique applied for freezing a tumor nodule that had been discovered.  It is not yet known if this technique was fully successful -- more will be known when a scan is done.  But what is known is that three other small nodules were discovered -- that have not been treated yet. (It never seems done, which is the horror of this situation!).  What is more, his spine is so damaged by all of the efforts to eradicate the tumors that he's probably facing spine surgery in a matter of months.

I'm sorry, but we have to talk about the barbarism of modern Islamist terrorism

Brendan O'Neill

The aftermath of an Islamist bomb directed at Pakistani Shiites (Photo: AFP/Getty)

In Western news-making and opinion-forming circles, there’s a palpable reluctance to talk about the most noteworthy thing about modern Islamist violence: its barbarism, its graphic lack of moral restraint. This goes beyond the BBC's yellow reluctance to deploy the T-word – terrorism – in relation to the bloody assault on the Westgate shopping mall in Kenya at the weekend. Across the commentating board, people are sheepish about pointing out the historically unique lunacy of Islamist violence and its utter detachment from any recognisable moral universe or human values. We have to talk about this barbarism; we have to appreciate how new and unusual it is, how different it is even from the terrorism of the 1970s or of the early twentieth century. We owe it to the victims of these assaults, and to the principle of honest and frank political debate, to face up to the unhinged, morally unanchored nature of Islamist violence in the 21st century.

Separating the Kafirs from the Muslims

 Bill Warner
When the al Shabaab jihadi group from Somalia attacked the mall in Kenya, they gathered the crowd together and asked who were Muslims and let them go. According to the media, they then started killing the non-Muslims who were left. But non-Muslims is not the word what the terrorists would have used. No, they would have called them Kafirs (actually they would have called them the Arabic plural of kafir, kuffar. Kafirs is the standard English plural form).

Why did members of al Shabaab do this? Why did they ask the Muslims to leave and keep the Kafirs and start killing them? Let’s start with the word terrorists. Members of al Shabaab are not terrorists, they are jihadists or mujahedeen. That is what they call themselves.

So what difference does it make which words we use? Non-Muslim or Kafir? Terrorists, militants, jihadists or mujahedeen? It makes all the difference in the world. You cannot think precisely with imprecise words and a Kafir is much more than non-Muslim.

The word “non-Muslim” does not imply anything, except not being a believer in Islam.

The Success Of The New Iranian Strategy (I) – The U.S. Administration Swallows The Lie About Khamenei's 'Fatwa' Against Nuclear Arms

MEMRI

September 29, 2013
Special Dispatch No.5461

In his address to the U.N. General Assembly (September 24, 2013), U.S. President Barack Obama stated: "The Supreme Leader has issued a fatwa against the development of nuclear weapons."[1] In fact, such a fatwa was never issued by Supreme Leader Khamenei and does not exist; neither the Iranian regime nor anybody else can present it.
The deception regarding "Khamenei's fatwa" has been promoted by the Iranian regime and its spokesmen for several years. Each time it was mentioned, the "fatwa" was given a different year of issue – for example, 2005, 2007, or 2012 – but the text of the "fatwa" was never presented.
MEMRI has conducted in-depth research with regard to this "fatwa" and has published reports demonstrating that it is a fiction. See MEMRI reports:

Renewed Iran-West Nuclear Talks – Part II: Tehran Attempts to Deceive U.S. President Obama, Sec'y of State Clinton With Nonexistent Anti-Nuclear Weapons Fatwa By Supreme Leader Khamenei http://www.memri.org/report/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/6291.htm
Release Of Compilation Of Newest Fatwas By Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei – Without Alleged Fatwa About Nuclear Bomb http://www.memri.org/report/en/0/0/0/0/108/0/7348.htm
The Iranian regime apparently believe that their frequent repetition of the "fatwa" lie will make it accepted as truth. To date, the Europeans refuse to accept it. According to unofficial sources, the legal advisors of the EU3 made an official request to the Iranian regime in 2005 to provide a copy of the "fatwa," but in vain.

O'Bagy Shows The Road to Success: Lie for Obama, Kerry, and McCain on Syria‏

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper. --T.S.  Eliot

For one who has made a career as an international political analyst this is the equivalent to the end of the world.
Elizabeth O’Bagy was a Georgetown University graduate student. She wrote an article for Atlantic Monthly saying that most Syrian rebels are radical Islamists.
Of course. Everyone knows that, even the Syrian rebels.
But then O’Bagy got two new jobs. One was for the public relations’ organization that promoted the Syrian rebels-- Institute for the Study of War--who did not want to be thought  of as radical Islamists since it would hurt their chances of getting U.S aid. By the way, the group is run by someone who also supports Hamas. Might it be a Muslim Brotherhood front?

Bill de Blasio and the Jews of New York

 Sultan Knish

The Democratic nominee for Mayor of New York City, the city with the largest Jewish population in the country, was a strong supporter of a Marxist regime that ethnically cleansed its Jewish population, conducting a reign of terror that included informants, arrests, expulsion and attacks on a synagogue. And he did this not before the truth about Nicaragua was known, but long after it was known.

Bill de Blasio won 38% of the Jewish vote in the New York City Democratic Primary. Despite the liberal reputation of Jewish voters in the Big Apple, these numbers were roughly even with those of other religions and demographics.

The latest Marist poll, which shows de Blasio with a 43% lead, also shows the Jewish vote leaning toward him by only 55%. Republican challenger Joe Lhota scores 36% of the Jewish vote-- his best numbers among any group except White Catholics (41%) and Conservatives (39%).

De Blasio's weak polling may reflect the growing numbers of the New York City's Orthodox Jews who tend toward a natural conservatism, but it may also reflect wariness toward any candidate, who  favors undermining the police and dispensing with the city's needed fiscal reforms.

This Is Why Obama Gets Away With What He Does

Obama is Law-Less because Republican “leaders” are Ball-Less.
This is why Obama gets away with what he does
By Sylvia Thompson
As a conservative black American who ignores the concept of “self-muzzling” (translated “political correctness”), I have been asked several times why it is that Barack Obama and Eric Holder can do the unlawful, unjust things that they are doing. People who ask me this are Caucasian Americans. I reply in all instances that these men are lawless because white people allow them to be lawless. There are not enough conservative blacks who oppose the Obama regime to make much of a difference. In fact, there are not enough blacks in America (if we all opposed them) to stop these men.

I focus on these two, because they are the chief law officials in this country. The power that they wield over American citizens is tremendous. They set the tone for legality or illegality, and they have chosen the latter. They set the tone for racial harmony or disharmony, and they have chosen the latter.

Egypt Constitution: Salafists, Al-Azhar at odds over Islamic Sharia provision

Cairo, Asharq Al-Awsat—A heated debate raged among the 50-member constitutional drafting committee over the wording of Article II, which states that Islam is the official state religion, Arabic the official state language, and which names Islamic Sharia Law as the principal source of legislation in Egypt.
The Salafist Al-Nour Party is demanding that the article reads that “the rulings” of Islamic Sharia law serve as the source of legislation in Egypt, while Al-Azhar, Egypt’s top Sunni Islamic body, favors the term “principles of Islamic Sharia law.”
Al-Nour Party committee representative, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Mansour, informed Asharq Al-Awsat that if the committee insists on omitting article 219 of the 2012 constitution—which strengthens the role played by Islamic Sharia law in legislation—then it must replace the word “principles” from Article 2 with the term “rulings,” or alternatively agree new language for article 219.

Stalking the Mythical Islamophobe, Part 4

This post is the fourth in a series about the Turkish definition of the word “Islamophobia” presented at the OSCE meeting in Vienna on July 12, 2013. Previously: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.
An Examination of Terms: 8 Through 13
To recap: this is the definition of Islamophobia provided by Umut Topcuoglu in July 2013. Emphasis has been added to thirteen words or phrases that deserve further attention:
Islamophobia is a contemporary form of racism and xenophobia motivated by unfounded fear, mistrust, and hatred of Muslims and Islam. Islamophobia is also manifested through intolerance, discrimination, unequal treatment, prejudice, stereotyping, hostility, and adverse public discourse. Differentiating from classical racism and xenophobia [sic], Islamophobia is mainly based on stigmatization of a religion and its followers, and as such, Islamophobia is an affront to the human rights and dignity of Muslims.
The first seven highlighted terms were discussed in Part 3. The analysis of the final six is below.
8. Prejudice
“Prejudice” is another loaded word that demands extra scrutiny in light of its frequent misuse. We may assume that Mr. Topcuoglu, in formulating his definition of “Islamophobia”, had in mind this definition of prejudice:
2c:   an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics

You say Thermopylae, I say Alamo

A few observations on the battle for America’s future as it shapes up heading for 1 October, or perhaps 17 October, or perhaps a date after that.

1.  Allen West invoked Thermopylae, Leonidas, and the 300 Spartans as an analogy to where we are after Ted Cruz’s stand in the Senate this week.  Cruz being from Texas, I was going to invoke the Alamo, Colonel Travis, and the 180-some who died with him in the siege there.  But OK.

As every school kid used to know, Thermopylae and the Alamo both mattered, even though both battles were lost by their tiny contingents of doughty defenders.  The pass at Thermopylae was well-chosen terrain for a defending force as small as the Spartans’; the Alamo was poorly chosen for making a defensive stand against a much superior Mexican army.  Both battles were, in any case, lost.  But their defenders ultimately won their wars in other battles: the Greeks in the naval contest at Salamis, a few weeks later; the Texans at the Battle of San Jacinto, six weeks after the Alamo fell.

Al-Qaida’s allies

Sheikh Raed Salah has gained stature and risen to prominence and popularity the likes of which should rightfully alarm us, considering his nonstop sedition.

Scant attention, if at all, was paid the reported recent fatal shooting of an Israeli Arab on Syria’s killing fields. The phenomenon of local Arabs volunteering to fight alongside the anti-Assad jihadist forces is small in terms of overall population proportions, but the fact that it at all exists and the context in which it is starting to sprout is nothing we can afford to scoff at.

From available data – and it is partial at best – Mouid Zaki Jumaa, 28, from the Arab village of Musherifa, near Umm el-Fahm, is the first Israeli casualty in the Syrian strife. News of his death in battle with a rival rebel group near the southern Syrian city of Jaramana came in the form of a photo of the body, which the family unequivocally identified.

The relatives say they thought he was off with two friends on a vacation in the Balkans. Evidently the trio made their way to Lebanon and thence to Syria. At least a dozen more Israeli Arabs are suspected of having similarly infiltrated Syria but the numbers are likely higher.

How the EU directly funds settlements in occupied territory

The EU knowingly and purposefully provides substantial direct financial assistance to settlements in occupied territory – in Turkish-occupied Northern Cyprus, that is.

A delegation of European Union officials arrived in Israel this week to discuss the European Commission’s proposed regulations for discretionary funding to Israeli entities.

Under guidelines prepared earlier this summer, euros would not be allowed to go to Israeli entities located cross the Green Line – or to those that have any operations there. All Israeli entities applying for funding would have to submit a declaration that they do not have such operations.

Europe claims that such a move – unparalleled in its dealings with any other country – is mandated by international law. The EU does not recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the territories, and thus has an obligation to keep its money from going there. Those who celebrated the move said that Israel is finally paying the international price for its occupation.

Yet it turns out that despite the guidelines, the EU still knowingly and purposefully provides substantial direct financial assistance to settlements in occupied territory – in Turkish-occupied Northern Cyprus, that is. So the EU funds the occupation of an EU member state. Turkey’s invasion and occupation of Cyprus in 1974 was condemned the UN Security Council, and the EU’s official policy is that the Turkish occupation is illegitimate, and Turkey must completely withdraw. The EU does not recognize the Turkish government in Northern Cyprus.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's last chance to become a world statesman

Nurit Greenger
A speech against the media and the West that has been lost in delusion, deception and terminal ideology

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be addressing the United Nations Assembly this week. He is to state: "The king [Obama] is naked. This king has mislead and is misleading the entire world with his policies on Syria and Iran and Israel will not be part of it and put herself in more danger. I see the déjà vu of Neville Chamberlain1938 peace in our time written all over the wall of this building. As Israel's prime minister, I am here to defy the wrong and lead though reality and strength so that the world will not be trapped in a WWIII déjà vu. I am here to contest and fumigate the 2013 bug that attacked the White House. Time to call a spade a spade."

Netanyahu to Ministers: Keep Mum on Obama-Rouhani Call

This was the first direct conversation between an American and an Iranian leader in 34 years.

On Saturday night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered his government ministers not to grant media interviews on political issues. The order came 24 hours after the phone conversation between President Barack Obama and his Iranian counter part Hassan Rouhani as the latter was leaving the U.S. Netanyahu ordered all his government ministers to cancel all their interview dates on radio and television tonight and tomorrow, and to avoid any public response to any of Rouhani’s remarks, and, more specifically, to avoid comments on the one-on-one phone conversation.

BREAKING: Sen. John McCain Hires Disgraced Syria ‘Analyst’ Elizabeth O’Bagy

by
Bryan Preston

Fresh from delivering the Democratic response to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz’s 21-hour marathon against Obamacare, Sen. John McCain has added to his foreign policy staff. The hire is among the most bizarre imaginable.
Sen. John McCain has hired Elizabeth O’Bagy, the Syria analyst in Washington who was fired for padding her credentials, The Cable has learned. She begins work Monday as a legislative assistant in McCain’s office.
O’Bagy was a young but well-respected adviser at the Institute for the Study of War and had emerged quickly as an important voice among those arguing in favor of intervention in Syria. McCain and others had cited her work publicly before her nascent reputation collapsed when it was discovered that her claims to having a combined masters/PhD were false and that in fact she had not yet defended her thesis.
“Elizabeth is a talented researcher, and I have been very impressed by her knowledge and analysis in multiple briefings over the last year,” McCain told The Cable in a statement. “I look forward to her joining my office.” McCain’s office said there would be no further comment on the matter.

Dangerous Times: Nobody can Deny Violent Islam

James Lewis

No one can deny the nature of jihad after last week's horrors in Kenya were broadcast around the world. Everybody who saw the brutal Nairobi mall killings gets it. But our profoundly corrupt and Muslim-penetrated media and political class will keep denying those horrors. British PM David Cameron just made the usual nauseating pronouncement that "Islam means peace."

The ruling classes in the West were able to twist and cover up the truth after 9/11. They are desperate to peddle denial, because they are deeply afraid that popular outrage will destroy their power. Hillary hired a Muslim Brotherhood loyalist, Huma Abedin, as her top aide. Our political/media class is therefore completely invested in covering up a clear and present danger. They must therefore be defeated in the next election.

Hassan Rouhani's "Big Smile" offensive in New York this week is a perfect demonstration of the double-talk of Islamic war. Rouhani is the killer who oversaw the truck bombing of the U.S. Marine Lebanon barracks in 1983, killing 299 young U.S. and French peacekeeping troops. Killer Rouhani was greeted with a wave of favorable publicity by the New York Times this week. Muslims like Rouhani will stab you to the heart with a smile. It is their doctrine. You can watch them laughing today because they know they are winning.
