Report: Hezbollah training near northern Israeli border

Bethlehem - Ma'an - Hezbollah fighters have conducted a number of military maneuvers in southern Lebanon this weekend, according to a report by Al-Arabiya TV on Saturday. The troop movements, which were being carried out south of the Litani River on Saturday, are seemingly in violation of United Nations (UN) Resolution 1701, which holds that the region be demilitarized.

Israel's Air Force has also been accused of violating the resolution on several occasions since the 2006 June War, which followed Hezbollah's cross-border raid into Israeli territory and the capture of two soldiers.

The dead Israeli soldiers were swapped for the bodies of a number of Palestinian and Lebanese fighters, as well as four high-profile prisoners, in a Red Cross-sponsored agreement during the summer of 2008.

Comments: This is an important headline and story-it is falling under the radar. While Israel is preparing for elections, Hizzbollah and, more so, Iran is testing the waters-to see our reaction. Livni is in a weakened position as she leads Kadima toward a battle in February. Bibi has brought "on board" three critical new faces, so to speak. Especially important is Bogi Ya'alon, former COS. He has finished a major TV interview, has been interviewed in all major papers here and is sounding like the next Sec.of Defense. Iran and Hizzbollah would prefer Barak and are highly motivated to see how Israel will react-if at all to behavior clearly violating UN 1701.

At the same time, leaks from America are making there way into the public. Now we discover Obama likes the Saudi "Peace Plan"-of course, look at who his ME advisors are-let me say simply they are anti-Israel. I said so many times, watch who Obama surrounds himself with and you will get a clearer picture of his real beliefs. At this very moment you have Abbas and Fatah with a major PR campaign in Israel proper, yes, they purchased ad space trying to convince Israelis to accept the Saudi plan. Abbas has publicly asked Obama to do the same-so, you have Obama's advisors on one shoulder, whispering you know what into his left ear, on his other shoulder is Abbas and the Saudis shouting into his ear-all this to put enormous pressure on Obama to yield his pro-Israel position stated some months ago. The Arab media has put Obama on notice:"Prove to us you mean what you say about CHANGE"-you should read the Arab press. To top it off, Arab American pressure groups have ramped up their words-prove to us you are different.

If you are Obama, how would you feel, think and more critically behave?
