Terror organizations in the Gaza Strip have significantly improved their ability to attack Israeli population centers, according to an assessment by Military Intelligence chief Maj.-Gen. Amos Yadlin quoted by Army Radio on Tuesday.

In recent days, several successful tests of Iranian-made rockets have been carried out, he said, adding that the rockets have a range of up to 60 kilometers. As a result, the entire Tel Aviv region is under threat of rocket fire from the Strip.

During Operation Cast Lead last winter, Grad-type rockets, Kassam rockets, and mortar shells were fired into Israeli territory, with projectiles hitting Beersheba, some 40 kilometers from the Strip.

Comment:Does anyone in the West from the President down to the informed USA worker not understand what is going on over here? We now have Iranian rockets on our doorstep-they are from your enemy, the West's enemy and yet we are asked, no told, to stand down? Pick any city in the USA, expand out 60 miles in all directions-identify the town or city closest to this point. Now, imagine they have rockets aimed at your city-what would you ask of your government and what would you expect from the International community? Do not ask us in Israel to behave differently than you!
