Hamas D'Alema's statement reflects wider international rejection of siege

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Hamas Movement on Sunday said that the world community was daily noticing the failure of the USA policy of besieging Hamas and of supporting one Palestinian party against another. The Movement in a press release was commenting on a recent statement for Italian foreign minister Massimo D'Alema in which he said that Hamas-Fatah agreement is an essential condition to ensure success of settlement efforts, and that no agreement could be made with only half the Palestinian people.

Hamas said that such a statement affirmed the growing international awareness of the failure of the American administration's policy in the region. The statement further indicates that any process excluding Hamas in the region is doomed to failure, Hamas underlined.

It said that D'Alema's statement reveals the growing disintegration in the political siege of Hamas and the growing number of world parties that wish to have dialogue with the Movement.

The Italian chief diplomat's statement further addresses a clear message to PA chief Mahmoud Abbas that his boycott of Hamas was not the right thing to do, Hamas concluded.

Comment:Once again the WEST fails to stand united. just when the impact of isolating Hamas was working, one member quit the process and "caved in" to Hamas. It is similar to a child playing one parent off another parent. The parent with the resolve does not give in. The weak parent, the one who cherishes feelings over long term behavioral actions, gives in-this teaches an important lesson to the child. Hamas and all other Arab groups have learned just such a lesson. They count on the West inability to remain resolved and disciplined-this will be our ultimate collapse!
