Look who's preaching "End the Occupation"

President Tells Int’l Community: Restore Iraqi, Afghan Stability By Ending Occupation Comment: This man occupies Lebanon, he is buying up land for Hizzbollah in southern lebanon, he controls Syria and he has the audacity to speak about occupation-let's see how this plays in the media!

In a meeting with Austrian Ambassador to Iran Michel Pustel who presented his credentials, President Ahmadinejad said the European states’ proximity to the Middle East nations provides an exceptional opportunity for further developing international ties, IRNA reported.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in bolstering cooperation with independent European states,“ he said.

The Iranian president also said Iran supports peace and stability in the Middle East and regards the unrest in Afghanistan and Iraq as a backlash to the deployment of occupation forces, including the US troops.

“Iran calls on the international community to help restore law and order in both Iraq and Afghanistan by ending occupation,“ he said.
Ahmadinejad noted that Iran respects the Non-Proliferation Treaty and its nuclear program is geared toward civilian purposes.

“The Iranian nation considers production of nuclear energy as its right in line with NPT and regards Austria’s views about the Iranian nuclear program as positive,“ he said.
Austria hosts the International Atomic Energy Agency and several organizations of the United Nations at Vienna’s International Center.

Pustel noted that Iran is a major country that helps maintain international balance and Austria is willing to develop cooperation with Iran.

“I hope that during my tenure in Iran, I would acquire better acquaintance with the Iranian culture and civilization, and prepare the ground for enhanced cooperation between Tehran and Vienna,“ he said.

Pustel said Austria, as a member-state of the European Union, supports the Iranian right to produce nuclear energy and believes that diplomacy is the only way to resolve the dispute concerning Iran’s nuclear program.
