What is good for the goose—USA/UK—is not good for the gander—Israel

The release of Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, the Libyan man who took the fall for the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing is leaving unfathomable and monumental trail of evidence of the US and the UK double standard policy towards Israel and how cheap and unimportant Jewish blood is. On Wednesday 21 December 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was on its transatlantic flight from London's Heathrow Airport to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. The airplane was destroyed by a bomb, killing all 243 passengers and 16 crew members. Eleven people in Lockerbie, southern Scotland, were killed as large sections of the plane fell in and around the town, bringing total fatalities to 270. As a result, the event has been named by the media as the Lockerbie Bombing.

In 2001, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, a Libyan, was convicted of his involvement in the bombing and was sentenced to life imprisonment. On 20 August 2009, the Scottish Government, where he was incarcerated, released him on compassionate grounds to return to Libya as he is suffering from terminal prostate cancer and had a life expectancy of less than 3 months. Al Megrahi was received in Libya as a hero by no less than Libya’s dictator Muammar Gadaffi. There were celebrations in Tripoli to mark the return of the Lockerbie bomber. More than 1,000 young Libyans gathered at an airport in Tripoli to welcome Megrahi and cheered and waved national flags as his car sped away. British television showed pictures of the Scottish blue and white flag waved.

The release of Al Megrahi instead of letting him rot and die in jail outraged everyone from the poor victims’ families to US officials. Washington described the release as a mistake.

President Obama led the US in voicing condemnation over the release of Lockerbie bomber Al-Megrahi. Obama called on Libya to immediately place Megrahi under house arrest in his home country.

Robert Mueller FBI Director described Lockerbie bomber's release, on compassionate grounds, as a 'mockery of justice' and the rule of law. Others are blaming the United Kingdom that was responsible to keep the villain in jail, for putting its dependency on oil supply from Libya before justice and for unacceptable leniency that may effect the USA and UK relations.

The UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown wrote to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi asking for the homecoming to be handled with sensitivity.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband told BBC Radio that “the sight of a mass murderer getting a hero's welcome in Tripoli is deeply upsetting, deeply distressing, above all for the 270 families who grieve every day for the loss of their loved ones 21 years ago." He added that, "how the Libyan government handles itself in the next few days will be very significant in the way the world views Libya's re-entry into the civilized community of nations."

The case has added to tensions between the Scottish government led by the separatist Scottish National Party and the British government led by the Labour Party.

They are all scrambling to deflect the international fallout from the decision to free him on humanitarian grounds.

Wow, read what they all say and who is saying it. All those who promote that Israel will release incarcerated murderers of Jews to “advance” peace process or to have Gilad Shalit released.

It is all right for the U.S and the UK to accept that Israel releases the barbarians it had caught and locked in jail, to prevent them from having a chance to kill more Jews, so that the USA and the UK can score some insignificant points with Hamas, Fatah and their ilk.

Neither the UK nor the USA are outraged when Fatah or Hamas commemorate with pride and name streets and schools after their Jew murderers “martyrs.” On the contrary, they will continue pouring billions of dollars into the hands of the jihad against Israel movement lead by the entire Arab world and represented by the Arabs calling themselves ‘Palestinians’.

We never heard Obama, who constantly bashes Israel demanding she freezes building in Jerusalem, Samaria and Judea, saying that the way Fatah handles itself in the near or far future will be very significant in the way the world views the Palestinians Authority demands to obtain statehood. Neither the UK makes such claims.

It remains to recognize and let it be kept on record that Jewish blood does not count for much with the leaders of the U.S and the UK and there is one set of rules that applies to the entire world and the world follows and there is one set of rules that was specially invented and is applied to Israel and Jews.
