An attempt is made to share the truth regarding issues concerning Israel and her right to exist as a Jewish nation. This blog has expanded to present information about radical Islam and its potential impact upon Israel and the West. Yes, I do mix in a bit of opinion from time to time.

COP:The Truth Behind Climategate and Hopenhagen

The December 7th edition of PBS’s On Point with Tom Ashbrook is devoted t0 Climategate, public opinion on global warming, and the Climate Change Conference taking place in Copenhagen. Ashbrook’s guests included Juliet Eilperin, an environmental reporter at The Washington Post.
Ashbrook skewed the entire segment at the very beginning of the broadcast by musing
“Will Climategate derail Copenhagen? Will we miss the window to act?”
OooOOooOOoOOoo. That sounds ominous, doesn’t it? According to Eilperin, people are hoping for “robust political agreement” out of Copenhagen. I wonder if they’re going to be assuaged by Obama’s EPA ruling that carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant threatening the planet? This was the best Obama could do, since Cap and Trade is officially a “dead parrot.” But I digress.
One of the expected outcomes, says Eilperin, is a commitment to transfer money from the richer to the poorer nations of the world to help them transition to cleaner energy technologies and combat the effects of global warming. No mention was made as to how anyone can prove these effects are caused by man and not some other means, such as volcanic activity, solar radiation, a slight wobbling of the earth’s orbit, or any of a multitude of other possible causes. Ashbrook never questioned the reasoning behind the transfer of wealth from the richer to the poorer nations, either. I guess if you accept the premise that mankind is to blame for the warming of the planet, then it somehow naturally follows that American taxpayers are going to get screwed. Bigtime.
So there it is, not three minutes into the episode. The real, actual motivating force behind Copenhagen – Wealth redistribution from the productive democracies to the poorer non-productive thugocracies. If you really want to understand climate change, just follow the money. The representatives of some of the most corrupt and brutal regimes in the world get to decide how much to steal from the single most powerful economy the world has ever known. What could possibly go wrong?
And what about those pesky polls that show Americans being less worried about global warming than in the past? Well, it’s mostly Republicans who are less worried about global warming, according to Eilperin. This isn’t what the Pew Poll shows, but facts would never deter a true believer of the Climate Change mythos. If the facts do not support the talking points, change the facts. We must save the planet!
And what about Climategate – Thirteen years’ worth of emails exchanged between some of the world’s most influential climate scientists who apparently conspired to manipulate and destroy data, organized resistance to disclosure, made a mockery of the peer review process, and privately admitted to flaws in their public claims. Does Eilperin see a “smoking gun” in any of that?
No, of course not. The comments are either misrepresented or taken out of context. A “trick” is not a trick, and “hiding the decline” does not actually refer to hiding anything. This is the way scientists communicate, and anyone who disagrees is just too stupid to understand it.
If you believe that, I have some beach front property in Nevada that you might be interested in.
