The Al Quds Day march is the biggest annual Israel hatefest in London. It is nothing more than a march of Ahmadinejad supporters, a front for the Mullahs. Today there were many Hezbollah and Hamas flags, slightly altered to prevent their owners being arrested for offences against the Terrorist Acts. Of course the traitorous Neturei Karta were there well before the start, led by revolting "Rabbi" Aron Cohen (he is not a Rabbi). The photographers crowded round them like dogs round a bitch on heat: what greater prize is there for these extremists than a quaintly dressed anti-Zionist Jew, complete with a beard? This hateful march should never have been allowed to take place. "We Are All Hizbolla Now" and "Zionism Equals Racism" were just two of the racist chants. Resistance was provided by a small group of Zionists, a group of Iranian expatriates in London and a group from the EDL. Around 1200 marchers walked from Speakers Corner down Hyde Park Lane, then back up, tuning right to congregate in front of the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square (the "Great Satan").
The best moment was when we arrived early in Grosvenor Square to find Yvonne Ridley being interviewed by Press TV. "Where's Neda?" we shouted at her, so loud that the cameraman had to stop filming her and film us instead. She clearly was not expecting her hatefest to be interrupted - and was lost for words. Eventually rather pathetically she mumbled "She was only one person". Her husband was more forthright, threatening to poke my eyes out.........
