Cemetery Desecration - Hope They Get Treated Better Than Jews

My Right Word

Reported:-

many of the tombstones have been smashed, litter is strewn around and tethered donkeys defecate on top of graves.

No, not Jaffa (see below). Jerusalem's Mount of Olives:

At a recent visit to the cemetery, Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, said he's heard from hundreds of families in the U.S. who can't visit buried relatives without protection from armed guards.

"If you hear the families, the pain and the fact that they're afraid to come here, what does it say?" Hoenlein asked. "In Jerusalem, Jews can't go and visit an ancient burial site that is supposedly sacred?" In fact, that cemetery was desecrated even before the "occupation". Here's from before 1967.

Twenty-three tombstones were desecrated at Jerusalem's Mount of Olives last December.

In June 2011, more than a dozen graves were vandalized at the Mount of Olives cemetery in Jerusalem.

And yesterday, it was discovered that

Tombstones were shattered in Jaffa cemeteries belonging to Muslims, Christians; hateful messages sprayed on graves.

It is surmised that it is a "price tag" attack.

I hope they are treated better than the Jews are treated.

UPDATE

I forgot this incident

Israel Police forces have uncovered a Jaffa-based gang allegedly behind a series of attacks and attempted assassinations in the Tel Aviv area, including a plot to kill a senior sheikh of a local mosque, it was revealed after a gag order was lifted on Tuesday.

Those mobsters are suspected of plotting to plant an explosive device at the Hassan Bek Mosque in Jaffa after Friday prayers, to kill a senior sheikh.

According to details of the case, the suspects planned to pin the assassination on right-wing activists by spraying the word 'price tag' nearby, in reference to the style of revenge taken by extremist settlers over the government's policy in the West Bank.

Oh, and as regards a claim that 200 olive trees "at least" were destroyed? Sorry, 180. Ooops, make that "dozens" or is that 150? And this after 200.

Been informed that

the police said it was only 10 trees….
