An attempt is made to share the truth regarding issues concerning Israel and her right to exist as a Jewish nation. This blog has expanded to present information about radical Islam and its potential impact upon Israel and the West. Yes, I do mix in a bit of opinion from time to time.

No Zbig Deal: Israelis Bought Congressional Influence
Pesach Benson
[Translate]
As if Zbigniew Brzezinski’s view of Israel-US relations wasn’t already warped enough. Get a load of this Salon headline:
Zbig: Israelis “bought influence” and outmaneuvered Obama
The headline stems from this comment:
”The Israelis have a lot of influence with Congress, and in some cases they are able to buy influence.”
The comment’s unfortunate (right, Tom Friedman?) but my bone to pick is with Salon: The interview — and Brzezinski’s book — isn’t about Israel-US ties, rather about Washington’s place in the international system: . . Brzezinski is able to envision China replacing America as the stabilizing force in world affairs. “I don’t think liberal states are more restrained or stabilizing,” he says. “The United States’ actions in the last 20 years, especially with the war in Iraq, do not give reassurance on that score.” . . .
The focus of “Strategic Vision” is not on the Middle East, but further to the east. Unlike other adherents to the foreign-policy school known as realism, Brzezinski does not see war between China and the United States as inevitable. Conflict, yes, but war, no.
You can read the rest for Zbig’s take on China’s rise. A headline more accurately summing up the interview would have been something like this:
Zbig: Chances of US-China War Remote In Next Decade
Taking a comment from a wider interview and made that the story is a sign of Salon’s agenda. And that’s a Zbig deal.
