(IsraelNN.com) Community leaders from across Judea and Samaria met Thursday in Karnei Shomron to discuss a threatened building freeze in their region. The municipal leaders planned their next steps in the battle to allow construction to continue. Danny Dayan, head of the Judea and Samaria regional council, said the building freeze must not be allowed. “Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria is a living body. A living body cannot be frozen,” he stated.

Dayan expressed optimism during the meeting, saying, “We are all similarly determined. We will take action... I am completely sure that we will be able to do it.”

Shaul Goldstein, head of the Gush Etzion regional council, said Judea and Samaria leaders would begin their protest with a demonstration opposite Netanyahu's house. Leaders will also act within Netanyahu's Likud party, he said. “We're going to fight in the Likud to form pressure from MKs, ministers, and activists in the field.”

Despite his plans to pressure Netanyahu, Goldstein expressed support for the Prime Minister. “We think that Netanyahu is the right person in the right place,” he said, “but he has to strengthen his basic views... I know his heart is in the right place.”

Guest Comment:Putting pressure on Netanyahu not to concede to Obama's whims.

"We are going to strengthen Netanyahu, we think Netanyahu is the right person in the right place but he has to return to his basic views and not surrender to the media and the Americans. Israel is a democracy; the media is not controlling Israel nor does Obama! Obama was elected in the United States, not in Israel! Bibi Netanyahu promised something and that is why he was elected by us. He cannot change his views. We had enough of another Prime Minister who promised something, he was put in office by us and changed his mind. Hityashvut (settling) in Yehuda and Shomron will not be freeze." I am behind them all the way!
