Three women killed in “honor” slayings Khaled Abu Toameh
Three Palestinian women were killed last Thursday for allegedly “dishonoring’ their families.
Two of the women were sisters from Kalkiya who were murdered by their brothers. The two were identified as Sima Al-Adel 28, and her sister Iman, 25. The bullet-riddled bodies of the sisters were discovered in their homes early in the day.
The women’s brother was arrested by the PA police after he admitted that he had shot them.
The brother told the police that he decided to kill his sisters because they brought ‘shame on the family.’ Earlier this week another woman was killed in Kalkilya in an “honor” killing. She was identified as Wafa Wahdan, 29 who was recently divorced from her husband. No one was arrested in her killing.
