Add Imageockets fired from the Gaza Strip Saturday morning have damaged buildings in the western Negev. One fell in the courtyard of Sapir College in Sderot and damaged the building, and another landing next to a synagogue, according to the IDF.

No casualties were reported in either attack, but damage was caused to some of the buildings.

Saturday's rocket attacks come after 48-year-old Jimmy Kedushim, father of four, was killed when a mortar shell landed in the front yard of his house in Kibbutz Kfar Aza on Friday evening. Three others were wounded in the attack on Kfar Aza, one moderately and two lightly. Magen David Adom teams at the kibbutz treated a number of people for shock, Israel Radio reported Friday night.

A number of buildings in the kibbutz were also damaged in the barrage.

Hamas radio announced late Friday evening that the group took responsibility for the fatal attack.

Throughout Friday, a total of three Kassam rockets and four mortar shells rained down on the western Negev.

One man was lightly wounded in the barrage and was taken to Ashkelon's Barzilei Hospital.

A vehicle was also damaged when hit by a rocket in the Ashkelon area.
