Netanyahu scolds UNGA for turning blind eye to terror

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke before the United Nations General Assembly, calling to task the nations of the world on the international body's responsibility and criticizing them for not standing up to it.

"The UN was founded after the carnage of World War 2, "Netanyahu said, adding the organization was "charged with preventing the reoccurrence of such horrendous events. "Nothing has impeded" the work of the UN, he said, "more than the systematic assault on the truth.

"Yesterday the president of Iran stood at this podium spewing anti-Semitic rants… Just a few days earlier he claimed the Holocaust is a lie.

"Last month I went to a villa in a suburb of Berlin called Wannsee," Netanyahu recalled a visit to the pastoral villa, where over just a few hours on January 20 1942 the Nazis devised the Final Solution - the decision to exterminate the Jews from Europe.

Netanyahu then dramatically showed a facsimile copy of Final Solution documents drafted in Wannsee.

"Is this protocol a lie?" he asked. "Is the German government lying?"

"The day before I was in Wannsee," Netanyahu continued, "I was given in Berlin the original construction plans for the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

"These plans I now hold in my hand," he said, as he was showing the worn-out blueprints to the assembly. "They contain a signature by Heinrich Himmler, Hitler's deputy.

"Are these plans of the camp where one million Jews were murdered a lie too?" he asked.

Netanyahu then turned to attacking Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, saying "Yesterday, the man who called the Holocaust a lie spoke from this podium. For those who refused to come, and those who left in protest - I commend you, you stood up for moral clarity.

"But for those who stayed - I say on behalf of the Jewish people, my people and decent people everywhere - have you no shame? No decency? What a disgrace, what a mockery of the charter of the UN."

Comment: I just watched Bibb's speech at the UN-I say bravo Bibi and it is about time that we stood up to those who act cowardly and to those who are doing their best to destroy us. Now, I understand that many people do not like to hear the truths Bibi spoke tonight-I immediately turned to CNN-not amazingly the first comments did their best to compare him to Bush-gee, I wonder why? Countries that support Iran should be scolded and embarrassed-of cours they will scream all of the familiar terms. Individuals are busy writing as I post this. I'll have more to say-bravo to you Bibi. bravo and now watch the world respond.

Since the Israelis are the target of an Iranian extermination plan, they cannot afford the luxury of a Pollyana, cafe-debate world view like Barack thinks is so modern and "cool".

Israel can go-it-alone if she has to... the IDF probably has the military capacity already to not only bomb Iran, but win the wider Middle East war that is likely to result.

Unlike vs. Hezbollah in 2006, the Israelis will fight this one to win, and win BIG... vs. Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and the rump Hamas. The IDF will go ALL-out too, with infantry and armor from day one.

Team Obama would be well-advised to keep an eye on the horizon anytime they're visiting their new pals in Tehran... for a formation of Israeli F-16's coming-in at Mach 2.

The Israelis did us all a huge favor in 1983, taking out Saddam's reactor in the face of world condemnation... and they'll they'll take care of business again. Unfortunately, Israel is used to such misguided and ignorant moralizing- same as they've dealt with for years.

As for Obama, polls show their populace has completely turned against him, they don't care what this smiley plastic mannequin has to say anymore... as he turns the US into an irrelevant, impotent bystander.

Sorry about him, Israel- most Americans still support you.
