Chanukah is the Jewish Eternal Light; Preserve It!

By Nurit Greenger

Why are these eight days festivity differ from all other Jewish holidays?

While Passover is a celebration of the Jewish nations’ redemption from slavery to freedom, Chanukah is a celebration of Jewish resistance, preservation of Judaism, the Jewish Nation and the Jewish Homeland. This festive basks in the Jewish Nation’s pride in its ancient brave leadership who represent the epitome of national determination and miraculous victory over the might of the enemy resulting in Jewish elation celebrated for more than 2000 years.During the eight days of Chanukah the Jewish Nation commemorates its ancient independence just like the modern State of Israel celebrates its Independence Day and all its other wars’ victories.

The Maccabees (Makabim or Maqabim) of the Hasmonean Dynasty were a Jewish rebel army who, from 167 BCE-to-164 BCE, when they liberated the Temple in Jerusalem, (ruled until 63 BCE when the Romans conquered Jerusalem) fought the and liberated parts of the Land of Israel from the rule of the Seleucid empire. The Maccabees main objection was to free Jerusalem and the Temple. Successful in their rebellion, the Maccabees founded the Hasmonean Dynasty, which ruled the Jewish Homeland from 164 BCE to 63 BCE, reasserting the Jewish religion, expanding the boundaries of Israel and reducing the influence of Hellenism.

Unfortunately, in the Modern State of Israel of 2009, where this remarkable Jewish victory took place that Jews have been celebrating for over 2,000 years, the Jewish-Israeli people, once again, are abandoning their patrimony and faith in search of a delusional accommodation with enemies bent on erasing Israel.

In 1967 Six Day War, Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the Holiest place for all Jews was finally returned to Jewish hands. What did the State of Israel leadership do? They handed Temple Mount over to the control of the Muslim-Arabs who are desiccating it daily by praying to Allah and practicing their anti-Jewish religion, its key objective is to eliminate the Jews from the face of this earth. If you hand over the Holiest of Holy to your wretched enemy, all else is an easier task!

Is it me only who begin to believe that Jews do not deserve a country to call their own because as soon as they have a state they split into million national fragments who disagree with each other thus have a history of losing their Home Land?

Just look at Jewish Nations' history till now: the Jewish Kingdom that King Saul began ended up in a split; two kingdoms for one nation. Through out the years, till the final expulsion took place, the Jewish Kingdom, no matter what Dynasty ruled it, was soaked in much blood, assassinations of Kings by other Jews claiming to the throne. The Jewish Kingdom did not differ in behavior from all other Goyim kingdoms. The Jewish priests were corrupt, ask Jesus. All along the history of the Jewish Kingdoms in the Land of Israel the Jewish Nation was constantly warned and preached by a long chain of—messengers of the Jewish God—Prophets who brought God’s message to his disobedient and unfaithful nation. All these prophets told the Jews to mend their ways, to go back to God’s way or else. But the Jews, who think they know better, did not listen and the prophecies came true. The Jewish Nation found itself dispersed to the four corners of the world and paid with endless suffering for 2000 years. And now, what has changed but nothing?!

The only glue that bonds a nation is total unity of nationalism and patriotism! What other country in the world has 35 political parties with 6 million Jews split on every issue? None! Be ware, the State of Israel!

Do we need a benevolent Jewish dictator to lead us so we can endure, survive and last?
