The Truth about Gaza

The media and world once again rush to judgment --"Strong World Condemnation," May 31, 2010. It is interesting that Egypt and several European countries communicated appropriately with Israeli appropriately with Israeli diplomats for an explanation regarding the deaths in the Gaza flotillas. In the same manner, Pres Obama profoundly lamented the unforutate deaths, but not the action taken by Israel, as erroneously reported in La Opinion.

The author of the reported piece has a Turkish name and does not present the Isralie point of view. LIkewise, the major condemnations are from Muslim countries including Turkey, Jordan and their Venezuela and Brazil (allies of nuclear Iran) and from old friends of the Palestinians like Jimmy Carter.

Israel's intention in boarding the Turkish ship was to keep in tact the Gaza embargo/blockade, changing the direction of the of the ship to the Israeli port of Ashdod to inspect its cargo.
That was necessray because those in charge of the ship repeatedly refused to change course. Israel had no alternative but to board the ship, where its sodliers were attacked with knives, clubs and guns.
