CBC.ca Correction/Photo Amendment on Tree Location

Honest Reporting Posted Date: 08/03/2010

CBC.ca recognizes that photo caption unfairly described the location of a tree where hostilities took place earlier today between Israel and Lebanon as being "on the Lebanese side of the border."

Here's the CBC's correction and their amendment to the online photograph:

Why is the tree placement important to this story you might ask? The MSM initially reported the tree was in Lebanon which would have made Israel semi-responsible for the incident this AM. Bloggers immediately went to work and within minutes found the truth-the tree was inside the Israeli border-thus, normal maintenance was being carried out. Furthermore, this clearly demonstrates that the unprovoked attack was the responsibility of the Lebanese Army-they ambushed our soldiers.Aside from murdering one of our soldiers, it is murder BTW, they wounded critically another soldier. They fired upon officers and commanders and not the soldiers performing the work. Malice intent is proven. Oh, one more violation of UN 1701-for anyone to argue that our enemies honor agreements and can be trusted with long deal deals is one who is ignorant, a liar or one who is willing to demonstrate his/her biase and bigotry.

This incident also shows how poorly the MSM does its reporting. How can you believe anything they report? This is not an isolated incident-rather, it is one more example of either sloppy reporting or reporting only news that is anti-Israel-you be the judge. Thanks to al who worked putting the truth before the international community.
