HP Monitor
Something that both liberals and conservatives have done in the wake of the Tucson shooting of Representative Giffords and others is try to use the attacks to extend their own politics. I won't go into it too much, but a lot of liberals are blaming Sarah Palin for the attack because of a list she produced about Democratic "targets". I will make no comment on this, as in, whether it's right or wrong, I only bring it up to provide context for what is to come. Palin responded to these accusations by declaring it a blood libel, as in, the false accusations of murder directed usually at Jews and are part of anti-Semitism. Palin's response drew criticism from Jewish groups and the Huffington Post published this news under the headline Sarah Palin's Jewish Problem. In addition to the blood libel, the HP brought up numerous other anti-Semitic statements and actions committed by members of Palin's spiritual network, called the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders. Let's go through them, shall we?
Beyond the blood libel, the HP points out one member who wrote about encouraging American Jews to move to Israel. Read the blog post itself to see what he wrote, the HP describes it as "hateful" and "insulting," but I just thought it was kind of weird.
Another member linked Jews to abortion, accusing them of committing murder by supporting it. This again invokes the idea of the blood libel, and I completely agree with the HP's description of this as anti-Semitism. That same member also stated Hitler was sent by God to force the Jews back to Israel. That's pretty crazy as well.
Lastly, another member of the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders stated that rule of the world and control of the banks belongs to the Jews, an anti-Semitic trope if there ever was one.
It seems clear from this evidence that members of Sarah Palin's spiritual network do in fact have a Jewish problem, and as we are judged by the company in which we keep, so does Sarah Palin. But here's a question for you, what if we turn that lens on the Huffington Post? Let's see what I've summarized, shall we?
The Huffington Post has a wide variety of bloggers that spew all manner of hatred towards Jews and Israel. First let's talk about the dual loyalty accusation. Michael Carmichael accused Senator Joe Lieberman of loyalty to Israel purely on the basis that he was Jewish. Alice Bach complained that pro-Israel groups were "shutting down dissent". Linda Milazzo accused Republican Mark Reed of disloyalty because he is Jewish and pro-Israel. MJ Rosenberg has written dozens of articles about AIPAC "ruling" the US Congress, evoking the myth of the Zionist-Occupied Government. Steve Clemons suggests Senator Charles Schumer is working more for the Knesset than the US Congress. And Sharmine Narwani argues the "pro-Israel forces" screen all future members of Congress before they allowed to serve in Congress.
Numerous HP bloggers have called for the destruction of Israel, the Jewish state. Mya Guarneiri pined for the creation of "a bi-national state". Ahmed Moor stated the idea of a Jewish state was "anachronistic" and "racist". Sharmine Narwani echoed the call for a "one-state solution" and Robert David Steele described Israel as "a cancer that should be removed". To pretend such hatred for Israel is totally separate from feelings towards Jews is simply a farce.
While the HP criticized Palin and company for working for Jews to move to Israel, the HP's own bloggers defended Helen Thomas's call to remove Jews from the Middle East. Carol Smaldino called Thomas a "scapegoat". Sam Sedaei accused Thomas' critics of racism. Laura Flanders insisted it was no big deal, and Hani Almadhoun claimed Thomas was a victim of "gotcha journalism". John McQuaid said her statement was "trivial" and Richard Greener regretted that America is no longer free because no one "can criticize Israel or the Jews". Scott Blakeman praised Thomas' work and complained about her departure. Jawal Nga strongly defended Thomas. None of these bloggers published a change in their views after Thomas' second set of comments in which she stated Zionists control the White House, media, Congress, etc.
One Huffington Post blogger, Sharmine Narwani, is on record of calling Hamas and Hezbollah "resistance groups" and supporting their activities.
And among the readership, there is too much anti-Semitic hate speech posted every day to record here. Among the numerous types of anti-Semitism there is ZOG, Holocaust denial, Jewish monetary influence, blood libels, and Jewish media control. You can visit Huffington Post Monitor's archives for more, and there is plenty more.
So while the HP may be correct that Sarah Palin has a Jewish problem, there is no doubt in my mind anyway that the Huffington Post has a considerable Jewish problem of its own.

As usual Matt proves himself to be a less than capable critic with a deficiency in reading comprehension.
I'm from California. I know candidate Mark Reed. "Matt" states that writer Linda Milazzo's article claims Mark Reed is Jewish. I read that article and Ms. Milazzo clearly states that Reed was raised Christian and is of Native American ancestry.
If Matt wants seeks to be a truth teller, It's time he speak the truth.
