Israel has often had to do both, defending her homeland and her homes as Terrorists attempted to infiltrate to kill. Sadly, they often succeeded. One is reminded of the early Roman period when farmers were required to keep a set of armor and weapons above their fireplaces in a cabinet. Not only was it expected for the farmer to defend his own home but, when called, he would mobilize in the City Square to assemble, prepared to meet larger groups of attackers.
Israel’s farmer settlers have had to both protect their homes and, when called, to move into their front line positions to defend the nation. The Settlers were and are outstanding in their willingness to volunteer for battle, with a disproportionate number of officers always in front, experiencing higher casualties.
Now, an exceptionally corrupt, weak government wishes to strip her best fighters of their personal weapons. Worse yet, this government is preparing to have her own citizens slaughtered, possibly by weapons they furnished to the Palestinian Muslim Arab Terrorists. Regrettably, we see this policy not only coming from Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, President Shimon Peres and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni but also being pushed by President George W. Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Sec. State James Baker III.
High treason and betrayal are constant bedfellows.
Olmert, Peres and Barak arm the Palestinian Muslim Arabs with automatic weapons, three million bullets, armored vehicles and at the same time, resurrect the Rabin-Peres plan to disarm the pioneering settlers. Perhaps you have forgotten the pre-Oslo plan to disarm the settlers by telling them the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) "needed to inspect and re-license their personal weapons" with which they also defended their own homes from those hostile Arab Muslim Palestinian Terrorists surrounding them. However, the real government policy was to confiscate and NOT return the weapons.
This was made known by a very in-depth study at the time that each settlement had barely enough weapons and ammunition to defend themselves for 15 minutes from a concentrated Terror attack. If such attack occurred during a general assault by neighboring Arab Muslim nations, the IDF would be at the borders, in the air or on the Mediterranean. They would NOT be available to defend the settlers who had been left without sufficient arms and ammunition.
This was part of the Rabin-Peres earliest plans to insure that the disarmed settlers would be too frightened to live in the territories which Rabin and Peres planned to give over to Yassir Arafat’s Palestinian Terrorists.
Now, once again, the plans of driving the settlers out of the territories is being resurrected. It has the same old basics, namely, frightening unarmed settlers plus the use of armed Israeli forces to attack and drive residents of Judea and Samaria out of their homes as they did in Gush Katif/Gaza and Northern Samaria.
Recall that it was Rabin and Peres who initiated the Yassam (or Yatom) forces to be trained to brutally attack Jews. That was accomplished by profiling the Yassam for their aberrant cruel personalities. At that time, Yassam recruits were profiled for not having relatives living in the territories, they could not be politically to the Right; they had to either have no conscience or, at least, to enthusiastically follow orders to beat and arrest the settlers, be they men, women, teens or children.
Later, during the days in August 2005 of evicting 10,000 Jewish men, women and children from Gush Katif/Gaza, 4 settlements in Northern Samaria and later Amona, we began to see non-Jewish Russians recruited into Yassam. We all recall the orders given to these assault troops to break bones, break heads, arrest and beat up protesters, often in backrooms of police stations. We saw the Cossack Riders on their imported German horses, ride into crowds of unarmed teens, using their horses to stomp on the settlers’ bodies, swinging their long clubs. They even rode down Knesset members like General Effie Eitam.
Disarming the settlers, while arming the Palestinian Terrorists demonstrates that, since the time of Rabin up to now, the misuse of the Israeli Army, Police and Shabak has destroyed any semblance of just law and order. Those trained to attack Jews cannot be re-programmed. They are now like attack dogs who cannot learn to love and respect Jews or to restrain themselves. They think that following orders to beat and even injure or kill unarmed protesting Jews is a joyful opportunity to go wild.
Clearly, their orders to strip Jews of defensive weapons in a sea of hostile Arab Muslims speaks of a government which is not less than a nation killer.
Making Jews defenseless as they were in Russia and Europe before and during the 1930s and 40s assured their attackers that it was safe to beat, rape, maim and kill Jews. The enforcers of these rules were the Cossacks, the KGB, the East German Stasi, the Romanian Iron Cross and always the Poles, Croatians, etc.
How did it come to evolve under various Leftist governments that Israel’s enforcers followed the ways of the anti-Semitic regimes of Russia and Europe? Apparently, every dirty underhanded trick accumulated by the Left over the years is to be released from the storage chest called "Pandora’s Box" of evil.
Hopefully, the gallows where Haman and his sons were hanged in Persia can be restored for those found guilty of crimes against the Jewish people. It’s horrible enough that Israel is subjugated by tyrants, dictators and haters of the people and the Land. What’s worse is that they have collaborated with foreign governments to smash any resistance to flawed government policies. Abandoning the Land given by G-d to the Jewish people, releasing convicted Terrorists from prison, creating laws to persecute unarmed protesters - and more. If they can’t find the gallows of Haman, the Nuremberg Tribunals gallows will suffice today.
The wisdom of the founding fathers of the United States was included in the Constitution in the provision of the rights of citizens to bear arms for self-defense. Underlying this provision was the history of dictatorial governments, suppressing their citizenry who were defenseless.
If ever there were substantial reasons for the citizenry of Israel to be armed it is this: This Israeli Government that usurped the rights of her citizenry to self-defense while they are surrounded by well-armed Arab Muslims who are pledged under their Terror Organizations’ founding Charters to kill Jews and destroy the Jewish State. Therefore, this is an evil government that must fall before her people die.
Disarming their citizenry is a clear signal that the government plans to engage in some form of war against their own people..
