"I shall gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land…"

Nurit Greenger| December 28, 2012
I maintain that if Jews were not killed by the millions, during the 2000 of exile since the time when they were expelled from their homeland, the nation of Israel would have been over 100 Million members strong.

In light of what is taking place in Israel these day, it is worthwhile reading this entire chapter 36 of the book of Ezekiel (http://etext.virginia.edu/etcbin/toccer-new2?id=KjvEzek.sgm&images=images/modeng&data=/texts/english/modeng/parsed&tag=public&part=36&division=div1) with emphasis on the following sentences:

23: And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24: For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25: Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27: And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28: And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. 29: I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. 30: And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. 37: Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. 38: As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
The Jewish nation is blossoming like the flower's petals open up with the first sunray. For 2000 years the Jews were ghettoized, persecuted and murdered. The Jew's silhouette, living as a guest in other people's country, was of a man bundled in his black jacket, walking fast in the street with his eyes pinned to the surface, rushing to get to his destination with a pray he would not be bothered or harmed.  Jews were insecure, living under the whims of others; they lived in the shadow of society, they were marginalized  All this has started to change with the establishment of the Jewish state, Israel. Slowly, a new generation of Jews are walking tall, their heads risen.
The stronger Israel becomes the more people whose ancestors were forced to end practicing Judaism and convert, mainly to Christianity, so they remain alive, appear. Also others who simply chose to hide their Jewish identity are finding their way back to their original faith and heritage. They are all having the courage to delve into their Jewish ancestry and heritage and even rise to become fully practicing Jews.
Jews return to Israel according to the Law of Return, legislation, passed on 5 July 1950, according to which Jews have the right of return, settle in Israel and gain citizenship. In 1970, the right of return and settlement was extended to people of Jewish ancestry, and their spouses. However, those emerging from the darkness of concealed Judaism are not automatically accepted.
If one goes to the website Shavei Israel (http://www.shavei.org/?lang=en) you realize that there are forces working to accomplish the Prophet Ezekiel prophecy in chapter 36:24, 'For I will take you from among the gentile and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land.'
On the website they list:
Spanish Bnei Anousim, the descendants of the Jews who were forced to convert and abandon their Jewish faith in Spain; Portuguese Bnei Anousim, the descendants of the Jews who were forced to convert and abandon their Jewish faith in Portugal; the hidden Jews in Poland; prior to the outbreak of World War II, Poland was home to more than 3,000,000 Jews, ninety percent of Polish Jewry was annihilated by the Nazis in the Holocaust, and post-war Communist oppression caused many of Poland’s remaining Jews to flee. Those who stayed often had to hide their identities…now they can be Jews again; Jews of Kaifeng, members of a small Jewish community in Kaifeng, in the Henan province of China who have assimilated into Chinese society and now seek to come back home…- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edhtdoPukk0; Subbotniks, one of the Russian religious bodies known under the general name of "Judaizing Christian sects".
In Operation Magic Carpet, widely-known as Operation On Wings of Eagles, that took place between June 1949 and September 1950, 49,000 Yemenite Jews were brought to the state of Israel. Their road to integration was not a smooth ride, but today they are part of the Israeli society fabric.
Operation Moses, that began in November 21, 1984 and ended in January 5, 1985, a cooperative effort between the Israel Defense Forces, the Central Intelligence Agency, the United States embassy in Khartoum, mercenaries, and Sudanese state security forces, refers to the covert evacuation of some 8,000 Ethiopian Jews, known as the "Beta Israel" community or "Falashas" from Sudan, who were brought directly to Israel.  Once the story broke in the media, Arab countries pressured Sudan to stop the airlift. Some 1,000 Ethiopian Jews were left behind, many were evacuated later in the U.S.-led Operation Joshua. In 1991, Operation Solomon brought 14,000 more Jews from Africa to Israel. Like their Yemenite brothers, their road to integration was not a smooth ride and slowly they are acclimating and becoming part of the Israel society fabric.
The Russian Jewish immigration to Israel began, en masse, in the 1990s when the liberal government of Mikhail Gorbachev opened the borders of the, then USSR and allowed Jews to leave the country for Israel. Overall, about one million Russians immigrated to Israel during this period, about 300,000 of whom were not precisely Jewish, according to rabbinical law, but were eligible for Israeli citizenship under the Law of Return.
Now, the plan is in place to bring the Bnei Menashe home; they are a tribe of nearly 9,000 from the Manipur district in northeastern India, bordering Burma and Bangladesh, who believe that they are the descendants of the Israelite tribe of Menashe, exiled from the Kingdom of Israel in the eighth century BCE. They seek to return to Judaism and to their ancient homeland in what is now the state of Israel.
Thus far Israel has gathered Jews from west and east European countries, north American and south American countries; from north Africa and all the Arab lands, Yemen, Ethiopia and now India and even China. I wonder how many more lost tribes or lost Jews there are, whom Israel owes to bring home?
By the state of Israel fathering small groups of lost Jews, they contribute a large, untapped demographic and spiritual reservoir for Israel and the Jewish people. With many Jews, living outside Israel, assimilating and leaving their heritage and nation, the Jewish nation, small as it, is getting smaller and is also lacking friends in the world.
Israel must open its doors to all those who have decided that Judaism and a return to the Jewish people are central to their fate and their identity. Israel must reach out to all the “lost” and “hidden” Jews around the world and there are many. They are in Poland to Peru, Barcelona to Brazil, China and India; help the descendants of Jews to reconnect with the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
This is a miracle of biblical and historic proportions; it is the prophecy of Ezekiel coming true. It is truly an ingathering of the exiles. Let them all come home.
