Jerusalem – Ma'an – In talks with the London-based newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi, chief of the Palestinian negotiating team Ahmed Qurei said that the coming talks between the Israelis and Palestinians will address the final-status solution.
Qurei said that an image of the final status has become clear to both sides and just needs to be framed within an official agreement.
In addition, Qurei said that the domestic Palestinian situation can no longer prevent the solving of Palestinian issues.
If there is no agreement on a joint document with Israel in advance of the US-sponsored conference in November, alternatives must be considered, said Qurei.
Qurei called for a US, Palestinian and Israeli agreement on a timetable for negotiations before the conference and stressed that the Palestinians do not want to take decisions independently of Arab states.
