Here's a story that I didn't see in the US Press

During the night preceding Friday, February 15, 110 fires were set in Denmark from 4 p.m. Friday until 7 p.m.

Saturday, 400 fires were recorded from 7 p.m. Saturday until 4 p.m. Sunday.

103 fires. from 4 p.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday.

The police and fire department listed 88 fires from 8 a.m. Monday until 8 a.m. Tuesday, 49 fires in all.

The fires were set in connection with a wave of rioting which broke out in Inner Norrebro (A heavily Moslem-immigrant are a--SWG) in Copenhagen on February 10.

SOURCE;  The National Police Coordinating Staff.WHY THE RIOTING? Many explanations have been offered for why young people, principally (exclusively, Moslem--SWG) immigrants have set fire to cars and buildings.

*Dissatisfaction with the police's "visitation zones" in, e.g.,  Norrebro in Copenhagen.

*Several Danish media's reprinting of the Mohammed drawing where the prophet was depicted with a bomb in his turban.

*The expulsion of two Tunisians who were accused of plotting the murder of Kurt Westergaard (the cartoonist, who now lives in hiding-- SWG) from Morgenavisen/Jyllands-Posten (the newspaper that originally published the cartoons--SWG).
*Inequality and discrimination.
*Boredom during winter vacation.
*The police had been accused in Politiken (leading Danish daily, but still the organ of the now-marginalized Socialist Party--SWG) of  racist behavior in dealing with immigrants in Inner Norrebro.
(Translated by S. W. Golomb)

This totals 750 fires set in one long weekend!  Did you see this  reported in any U.S. media?  I didn't.  How do you like "boredom  during winter vacation" as the explanation?

I don't know of any other European country more generous and welcoming to its immigrant  population than Denmark was, but this is the thanks they get. These immigrants cannot tolerate Denmark's liberal policies (whether press freedom, or clothing-optional beaches, or even education for women), and this is their real grievance.

Many Danes still believe they must try harder to make these immigrants feel "more welcome"; but a  growing number finally realize they have a serious problem.  Copenhagen's "sister city", Malmo, at the other end of the bridge to Sweden, already has a Moslem majority, where fewer and fewer ethnic Swedes are willing to live.  Unless there is a dramatic change,  Western Europe will be part of "Dar Islam" before 2050.
