" Israeli Doctors Care for the World"

Little is ever reported about Israel's humanitarian efforts. One of these projects is called: " Save a Child's Heart" is located at the Wollfson Medical Center in Israel. They have treated children from 28 developing countries such as Rwanda, Iraq and Sri Lanka with life-saving heart surgery. Surgeons have treated over 1700 children, with a 96% success rate. Seventy percent of their patients are Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza. All hospital care, including surgery, is free.

When visiting the Hospital, we spoke with; the Chief Surgeon; a young father from Jenin whose daughter is receiving treatment; a Palestinian mother and grandmother from Gaza. This philanthropic project is just one among the many inspiring ways in which in Israelis demonstrate their compassion and commitment to healing bridges with people in need from around the world.

This presentation is one of our newly-released video Dvds, Volume # 18. Other stories on this disc are: " Israelis Fight Internet Hate" and " Historical Israeli Photojournalist Reminisces "
