The head of the Islamic Jihad in the center of the Gaza Strip was killed by IDF forces during an operation which ended an hour ago. (Guysen.International.News) 23:17 Kenya: the various political groups have agreed on a roadmap for reform of the constitution and to restore stability in the country. The Nigerian mediator, Oluyemi Adeniji, who took over from the former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, said that the agreement was ''a good omen for future cooperation in the future coalition government.'' The government and opposition have also decided to set up a commission which will be responsible for shedding light on the violence that followed the presidential elections of December 27, 2007 and that left a thousand deaths. 20:47 The Human Rights Council of the United Nations observed a minute's silence in memory of the ''saints who died in Gaza'' at the request of the Iranian Foreign Minister, Manouchehr Mottaki. He explained that ''it was necessary to observe a minute's silence in memory of women and children who are now under attack by the Zionist regime''. Two more rockets landed in open space near Mefalsim and Saad. Two mortar shells landed near the security fence surrounding Gaza. Early Tuesday morning, two Qassam rockets hit Sderot, one of them hitting a home with full force. A total of 4 Qassams and 2 mortar shells have been fired since the beginning of the day. 09:41 The Kerem Shalom border crossing will reopen its doors on Tuesday for the first time in 6 weeks. Twenty trucks of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians will thus enter the Gaza Strip. Israel has also accepted the request of the Palestinian Minister of Health and authorized the transfer of drugs from the Teva company to Gazans via the Sufa crossing. Sixty trucks carrying equipment and food from Turkey and Jordan will cross the check-point. Eighty other trucks filled with grain will transit via the Karni checkpoint. (Guysen.International.News)
