I hope this doesn’t come as a shock to many of you, but... the Big Oil companies like higher oil prices. Just look at the profits they are raking in.
Another thing that may also be hard to believe... is that the State Department is led through the nose by the Big Oil companies. This has been the case since before you were born. By throwing around Big Money, they own the "policy experts" who run the State Department. They give very lucrative grants and fund their academic "research" before and after they are at the State Department. This is all well known and considered "old news". Condi Rice actually sat on the Board of Chevron Oil company before becoming Secretary of State. Imagine the perks So, without being a proverbial "rocket scientist" one can easily understand how the State Department pursues polices that will lead to higher oil prices.
One of the best ways to increase oil prices is by weakening Israel. A strong Israel acts as a calming influence on the various megalomaniacs and dictators who run the Arab countries. When they need to worry about Israel’s intelligence network or Air Force, they tend to behave themselves better - which means lower oil prices. America is also helped by Israel’s air cover, resupply capability and advance repair facilities which are available in a crunch - which means lower oil prices.
When Israel is weakened - oil prices rise. Witness what happened in the 1973 war when Israel was busy defending herself, the Arabs, encouraged by Big Oil and the State Department, gleefully took advantage of the situation to skyrocket oil prices.
With Israel under current attack by the State Department to make suicidal concessions to Syria, and the Palestinians a.k.a Hamas, oil prices are rising dramatically. The more pressure on the Israel, the more you will pay at the pump and the worse shape America’s economy will be in.
You want to be able to run your car, or to save America’s economy? Launch an investigation into the State Department. Bring indictments on charges of treason, of trying to subvert America’s foreign policy to serve the interest of their Big Oil masters.
