Bogus Negotiation is a Non-Starter!

Amin Maqboul, a member of the Fatah revolutionary council, told the Palestinian newspaper al-Quds that the Palestinian Authority would agree to an extension of negotiations if Israel agreed to: announce the basis on which future talks will be held; draw the outline of the borders of a Palestinian state within the next three months; halt settlement construction; withdraw Israeli troops from the West Bank's Area C to the lines held before the Second Intifada; release the fourth wave of prisoners that it has until now refused to do; end what he called "disruptions" in Jerusalem and open Palestinian institutions in the city. (There is no commitment to recognise Israel as the Jewish state and stop terrorist attacks or anti-Israel propaganda. The demands are part of a strategy designed to undermine Israel! The plan is destroy Israel piece by piece - first Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem, then flood Israel with 'refugees', turning it into an Arab state.)

Abbas doesn't Want Peace - Israel has responded to Abbas demands, a senior political source said, "it is that the Palestinians do not want peace. Because those who do (want peace) do not continue to make demands they know Israel cannot accept."

Let PA be Dissolved - According to the report, the unnamed source confirmed reports that the Palestinian Authority had warned Israel that the Ramallah-based, self-government body may dissolve itself if so-called "Israeli intransigence" continues. (Removal of the enemy from Jewish Land is the next logical step.)

Idiotic Barking at Israel - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the Obama Administration wanted a complete halt in the growth of Jewish settlements on Palestinian territory (She is jumping to conclusion - isn't it officially has to be called a PA controlled territory? There are no accidents in official diplomatic wording - it is all a part of well-designed anti-Israel smear campaign!) She said that President Barack Obama "wants to see a stop to settlements - not some settlements, not outposts, not `natural growth' exceptions". The remarks, which a former US official called "almost unprecedented", put the Administration on a collision course with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. (International anti-Semites and so-called friends of Israel are afraid to offend and criticize so-called Palestinians, Arabs states and Islamic hideous behaviour. But they are happily and eagerly jumping to any opportunity to demonise and offend the Jewish state!)

Abbas Is Arafat In Disguise - Deputy Minister Ofir Akunis (Likud) criticized PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's demands. "Abbas is (former PA Chairman Yasser) Arafat in disguise," declared Akunis. "The Palestinian leadership under Abbas just changed its tone and not its essence," he argued. "Under the honey-coated words and diplomacy is hiding an extremist leadership which is not interested in peace or an agreement, but rather in endless extortion of terrorist releases, concessions and withdrawals by Israel - just as a condition to have peace talks."

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu broke off peace talks with the PA, after Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah signed a unity pact with Hamas in Gaza City. (It will not last long, but at the moment two terrorist organizations are united!)

Surprising Support from the US! - The United States expressed support for Israel' s decision to cancel a planned session of peace talks with the PA, in the wake of an announced Hamas-Fatah reconciliation deal. "It's hard to see how Israel can be expected to negotiate with a government that does not believe in its right to exist," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki stated. (It did not take long to backtrack from this position!)

The biggest problem Jews in Israel and Diaspora are facing is lack of political and spiritual leadership and guidance. The annexation of the Crimea by Russia is a good lesson how to generate internal public support for a national goal; how to act decisively and quickly to achieve it; how to ignore any opinion of others and make them powerless to do anything after the fact! Israel needs to learn from tactics adopted by Russia and how to act in Israel 's national interests in order to defeat the enemy and reunite Jewish ancestral land.

Terrorists Received Advanced Weapons

Syrian rebels have been supplied with US weapons - BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missiles. They also received delivery of Russian-made 9K310 Igla-1 aka SA-16 anti-tank rockets, whose operational range is 5.2 km. (A fall of the Assad regime will bring another 'Arab Spring' disaster. It will unleash bloody civil war and the weapons will be used against Israel. But, international idiots do not care!)

Recognizing Jewish State is "Fantasy"

PA official Mahmoud Khalifa accused both Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Lieberman of power-mongering - and murder and stubbornly calling recognition of Israel as a Jewish state a "fantasy." The PA has already formally refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state throughout the talks, and got the Arab League to similarly reject Israel as the Jewish state. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's stubbornness on the issue has been among the key sticking points in (useless) peace talks.

European anti-Semites Welcome anti-Israel Terrorist Alliance

The European Union (EU) praised the alliance. It is worth noting that Hamas is on the EU's list of terrorist organizations. That listing specifically includes both "Hamas" and "Hamas-Izz al-Din al-Qassem," meaning that both the military and governmental branches of Hamas are recognized as terror groups by the EU. (Now they, traditional anti-Semites, can add Fatah and the PA to this list and do nothing, as usual, about it!)

Useless 'Response' Game to Rockets

The Israel Air Force struck three terror targets in the Gaza Strip last week, in response to rocket fire at southern Israel . The IDF Spokesman's Office said "IAF aircraft attacked two terror targets in the south of the Gaza Strip and an additional target in the center of the Strip..." (Must Israel continue this 'Cat and Mouse' game? Terrorists will never stop their attacks on Israel unless the IDF decisively removes them and their support base, so-called Palestinians, from Jewish land!)

A Hamburg family looking to return valuable items left behind by Jewish friends when they were sent to their death in Nazi concentration camp in 1941. Although this valuable set has been in their possession for more than 50 years, the family members still see themselves as the temporary guardians of the treasure... (What a BULL! Why did it take them so long to start looking?)

PA is Using Holocaust as a Fundraising Stunt

Mahmoud Abbas has issued a statement calling the Holocaust "the ugliest crime known to man in the modern era." Netanyahu dismissed the statement as a publicity stunt. (Enemy of Israel use anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial to gain support from Arab states and international bigots. This statement is made to secure uninterrupted flow of funds from the Western countries!)

Why is Targeting Killing of Terrorists Good Now?

Yemen's interior ministry says 55 members of al-Qaeda have been killed in what has been described as an "unprecedented" joint aerial campaign with the US that targeted a training camp operated by the group in the country's south. US drones killed more than 30 fighters when they fired "several missiles" into the al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) training camp. (When Israel did it in the past was widely condemned by international bigots)

PLO/PA doesn't Represent Palestinians

Islamist terror organization Hamas has attacked the latest statements by Palestinian Authority (PA) head Mahmoud Abbas, regarding possible reconciliation between the Fatah and Hamas. Hamas stressed that the PLO Central Committee does not represent the Palestinian people. Hamas spokesman, Fawzi Barhoum, stated that Hamas has an absolute majority in the parliament, and Hamas does not recognize Abbas's continued term as president. (Israel has no partner among the so-called Palestinians and Arab states to negotiate peace. It is time to realize it and go with the Jewish national program!)

US Supreme Court to Decide on Jerusalem's Status

The US Supreme Court decided to hear the case of an American born in Jerusalem . The justices will hear arguments in the case in the fall before deciding on the constitutionality of a 2002 law that directs the State Department to give Israel as the country of birth in passports of Americans born in Jerusalem. (This is another example of anti-Israel attitude of the US government! The United States adopted a law which says that US embassy has to be moved to the capital of Israel, Jerusalem . The US government has no respect for its own laws!)

PA Duplicity - Glorify Terrorists, Condemn Terror

PA Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash met with Israeli journalists today and condemned this week's murder of an Israeli: "This Israeli who was murdered, it hurts... We condemn the killing of any person. The principle of killing and violence is completely unacceptable." (Israel Army Radio, April, 16, 2014)

Yet, just two weeks ago, this same Al-Habbash defended and honored all Palestinian terrorists who are in Israeli prisons: "All the Palestinian prisoners who protected (our) land, honor and homeland are prisoners of freedom; they are prisoners of war. They are not criminals, will never be and have never been. Their hands committed no crime. They were defending themselves. They are an inseparable part of this national Palestinian movement and one of its authentic elements." (Official PA TV March 28, 2014)

This is another example of PA's policy of duplicity: The minister told the authentic Palestinian message to Palestinians and the opposite message to Israelis and the West. When PA Minister Al-Habbash defined Palestinian prisoners as people whose "hands committed no crime" and who are "an authentic element" of the Palestinian movement, he was including well known imprisoned terrorists like Abdullah Barghouti, (67 life sentences), Ibrahim Hamed, (54 life sentences) and Abbas Al-Sayid, (35 life sentences), all imprisoned for planning suicide bombings that murdered in all 156 civilians.

Palestinian Girl Inspired to be a Killer

A Palestinian teenager's ambition in life is to be a killer of Israeli civilians, PA TV broadcast recently. The interview of the teenage girl took place in a school named after terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, whose bus hijacking north of Tel Aviv left 37 civilians murdered in 1978. The girl's statement demonstrates the PA's effectiveness in presenting terrorist murderers as heroes and role models for Palestinian youth. (There will never be peace between Israel and the Arabs as long as the Arabs bring up their children this way. Unfortunately, they will never stop their hate buisness, as all other anti-Semites!)

The IDF’s Minorities in Numbers and Pictures

In honor of IDF Diversity Week, we present diversity through numbers and pictures. Each year, more and more Muslims, Christians, Druze, Bedouin and immigrants from around the world take on the responsibility of defending Israel.

MUSLIMS:

Muslim Arab Israelis are not required to draft in the IDF, but there are many who volunteer. In 2013, there were over 200 Muslims serving in the IDF and over 300 in the reserves.

Bedouins:

Bedouins are nomadic Muslims who were in Israel when modern borders were set in place and are now considered Israeli citizens. They are not required to draft but a growing number choose to enlist. In 2012, there were over 1,400 Bedouin Muslim soldiers doing regular IDF service and almost 1,500 in the reserves.

Hate crimes motivated by religious bias accounted for 1,409 offenses reported by law enforcement. A breakdown of the bias motivation of religious-bias offenses showed:

65.4 percent were anti-Jewish.
13.2 percent were anti-Islamic.
9.5 percent were anti-other religion, i.e., those not specified.
4.3 percent were anti-Catholic.

On March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview

with PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here's what he said:

In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan."

In March 1977, Zahir Muhsein, a PLO executive, said:

In 1948, the Arab countries refused to accept the UN partition proposal and they launched a war of annihilation against the State of Israel which had barely been established. All precedents in this matter showed that the party that starts the war - and with a declaration of annihilation, yet - pays a price for it. Between 550,000 and 710,000 Arabs fled because of the war and a larger number of 850,000 Jews were expelled or fled from Arab countries (the "Jewish nakba").
Population exchanges and expulsions were the norm at that time, occurring in dozens of other conflict points and affecting about 52 million people. In all the population exchange precedents that occurred during or at the end of an armed conflict, there was no return of refugees to the previous region, which had turned into a new national state.
Only the Arab states acted completely differently from the rest of the world. Instead of assimilating the refugees, they crushed them despite the fact that they were their coreligionists and members of the Arab nation - instituting a regime of apartheid. So the "nakba" was not caused by the actual dispossession, which had also been experienced by tens of millions of others. The "nakba" is the story of the apartheid, oppression, abuse and denial of rights suffered by the Arab refugees at the hands of the Arab countries. (Maariv)

What Rabin’s last Knesset speech really said:repudiation of a Palestinian state

Rabin ruled out a fully sovereign Palestinian state :

“We view the permanent solution in the framework of State of Israel which will include most of the area of the Land of Israel as it was under the rule of the British Mandate, and alongside it a Palestinian entity which will be a home to most of the Palestinian residents living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. We would like this to be an entity which is less than a state, and which will independently run the lives of the Palestinians under its authority.”

Rabin ruled out a total withdrawal from Judea and Samaria and thus a return to the pre-June 1967 borders :

“The borders of the State of Israel, during the permanent solution, will be beyond the lines which existed before the Six Day War. We will not return to the 4 June 1967 lines.”

Rabin ruled out withdrawing form the Jordan Valley:

“The security border of the State of Israel will be located in the Jordan Valley, in the broadest meaning of that term.”

Rabin ruled out uprooting settlement blocs, like the Gush Katif bloc in Gaza (which was subsequently uprooted by former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon):

“The establishment of blocs of settlements in Judea and Samaria, like the one in Gush Katif.

AND

Rabin ruled out removing any settlement before coming to a full peace agreement with the Palestinians:

“I want to remind you: we committed ourselves, that is, we came to an agreement, and committed ourselves before the Knesset, not to uproot a single settlement in the framework of the interim agreement, and not to hinder building for natural growth.”

Rabin insisted on Israel retaining full security control of the borders with Egypt and Jordan, contrary to Israel’s relinquishment of the Philadelphia Corridor on the border with Egypt:

“The responsibility for external security along the borders with Egypt and Jordan, as well as control over the airspace above all of the territories and Gaza Strip maritime zone, remains in our hands.”

Correcting Oslo Myths-Part 2

3) Kuttab laments that the post-1993 Oslo process resulted in a Palestinian Authority "whose ministers and legislators are not guaranteed passage between Gaza and the West Bank ...."

Before free passage or other perquisites, PA leaders were obligated, among other things, to eliminate the terrorist infrastructure in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, end anti-Israeli, antisemitic incitement in schools, mosques, and communications media, and resolve all outstanding issues through peaceful negotiations. They met none of these commitments, sometimes bolstering terrorism and greatly increasing incitement.

4) Kuttab complains that under Oslo the PA got "lightly armed police ---- but no real sovereignty over the land or contiguity between our communities in Gaza and the West Bank."

Oslo agreements repeatedly were revised, regardless of Palestinian non-compliance, until the authorized number of police grew from 8,000 to 40,000. Though they were to be the only armed forces in the territories, Israeli estimates early in the second intifada put the number of gunmen - police, "security services," terrorists, and armed gangs - at 85,000. Their armament reportedly included not only heavy machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, but also anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles.

Sovereignty was to be negotiated in the envisioned 1998 "final status" talks - after a five-year period of confidence-building. Palestinian leadership chronically undermined the process. Palestinian terrorism made the 1993 - 1998 Oslo period more deadly for Israelis than the 15 years preceding it.

The United States doesn't have contiguity between the lower 48 states and Alaska and Hawaii; territorial contiguity between the West Bank and Gaza Strip - that is, through the 20 miles of Israeli territory between them - was never promised and would destroy Israeli contiguity.

5) "Palestinians have been made to endure hundreds of checkpoints in the West Bank, an eight-foot wall deep in our territories, and tight Israeli control over borders."

The security barrier is not "deep in Palestinian territories," but rather encompasses less than 8 percent of Judea and Samaria, and is mostly a fence, rarely a wall; the land in question is not "our [Palestinian] territories" but disputed territory to which, according to the authors of U.N. Security Council Resolution 242, Jews as well as Arabs have claims; and there are no international borders, only the 1949 armistice lines with Jordan. Under 242, borders remain to be negotiated. As for checkpoints - like the security barrier and "tight Israeli control" - Palestinian Arabs precipitated these measures themselves. No terrorism and there would be no fence or tight Israeli control and few checkpoints - like before the first intifada.

Correcting Some Oslo Myths

1) In Oslo "Israeli, Palestinian and other world leaders promised that ... Palestinian sovereignty would be solidified."

No, they didn't. The 1993 Declaration of Principles and subsequent Oslo agreements outlined a process by which final status negotiations about the West Bank and Gaza Strip would be reached. The process required an end to anti-Israel terrorism and incitement and a commitment to peaceful negotiations. The PA, Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and other terrorist groups, sabotaged the process from the start.

2) "The reality is that, in defiance of U.N. Security Council Resolution 242, which states that it is inadmissible to occupy land by force, Palestinian territories are still under foreign military occupation."
Wrong again. Resolution 242 (1967) does note "the inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war." It also affirms the right of every state in the area "to live in peace with secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force." There were no "Palestinian territories." Jordan occupied the West Bank, Egypt controlled Gaza. Israel did not have "secure and recognized boundaries," so retention of some of those territories was possible under 242. Israel is not a "foreign" military occupier in the West Bank but, pending final negotiations, the lawful military administrator as a result of a successful war of self-defense.
