DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdallah al-Dardari discussed on Tuesday with the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul aspects of economic cooperation between the two countries .Al-Dardari briefed the German Minister on the steps taken by Syria in the economic and social reform program in cooperation with public, private and joint sectors, indicating that Syria benefited from the German experience in moving into economy of the social market.
Deputy Prime Minister called on German businessmen and companies to Invest in Syria due to the distinguished investment atmosphere in the country.
For her part, the German Minister expressed her government's desire to establish best ties with Syria, particularly in the economic, trade and investment fields, pointing out to Syria's achievements on the economic and social level and its influence in expanding cooperation ground in this regard between the two countries .
Both sides conferred on the required means to activate the signed agreements between Syria and Germany and the tourist movement, in addition to making use of the available investment opportunities in all domains.
