An attempt is made to share the truth regarding issues concerning Israel and her right to exist as a Jewish nation. This blog has expanded to present information about radical Islam and its potential impact upon Israel and the West. Yes, I do mix in a bit of opinion from time to time.

Hamas Truce: 'Only' 3 Rockets
zvi Ben Gedalyahu Hamas Truce: 'Only' 3 Rockets
"Gaza observed a 24-hour halt to rocket fire against Israel at the request of Egyptian mediators who made efforts to restore a longer truce," according to Reuters. Readers who read through another nine paragraphs read, "The hold on firing seemed to be observed, with only two rockets and a mortar reported to have been fired on Monday from Gaza, and a rocket and four mortars shot on Sunday night.". Similarly, the French news agency (AFP) stated as a fact that Hamas and other terrorists groups accepted a 24-hour truce, adding the Hamas warning that it would resume suicide attacks if Israel launches a counterterrorist offensive.
Like Reuters, the news agency stated several paragraphs later that the three rockets and one mortar shell were fired, noting that the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) took responsibility for the attacks.
Foreign media also ignored calls by leaders in the Israeli opposition as well as in the coalition government to retaliate against six months of Gaza terrorist violations of the June 19 ceasefire. Instead, AFP quoted Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who said that calls for a large-scale military operation are "the babble of politicians who have never seen war in their lives."
Meanwhile Hamas boasted that it has become more popular because of military offensives by the "Zionist entity," as it refers to Israel. "The Zionist entity aimed to broke [si Hamas well, but Hamas became more popular," according to the website of the terrorist party.
It also claimed that its terrorist brigades have "not fired at Ashkelon or Sderot [a instead fired mortar shells at…Zionist military bases around Gaza. Mortars also are an effective response to the Zionist aggression, yet Hamas is using them to send a message: We are still interested in a lull, but under new terms.
"If the Zionist entity didn’t violate the calm, there was no reason [ shove the resistance faction to fire Kassam rockets," it added. "Hamas members have not much to lose. A large military scale will promote Hamas ruling to Gaza; the Palestinian people know that Hamas did not abandon them.
"Another factor for Hamas advantage is that the Zionist elections are approaching, [a Zionist leaders are divided," Hamas stated.
