The phenomenon of the Arab islamochristian,
who tries to fit in, tries to accommodate himself to the
always-menacing Muslim sea, is by now well understood by those capable
of thought. It’s less commonly found among those indigenous communities
of Christians in Arab lands, not Arabs but users of the Arabic language
who in some cases have been so overwhelmed by constant Arab propaganda
as to have forgotten that they are not Arabs. who still feel both
numerous enough, and threatened enough without hope of winning over
Muslims — the Maronites in Lebanon, the Copts in Egypt — whose existene
predates the arrival of Islam, and who are well aware that among the
Muslims who menace them are many whose ancestors were themselves
Maronites or Copts, who felt forced — or were forced — long ago to
convert to Islam.
The most “Islamic” of the
Islamochristians, the ones who have tried to outdo — in the usual
plus-royaliste-que-le-roi fashion — are the “Palestinian” Christians,
who have tried to fit in by being even more viciously anti-Israel than
the Muslims. Outstanding examples include George Habash of the PFLP, and
such propagandists as Naim Ateek and Hanan Ashrawi, who are now so far
out in the “pro-Palestinian” limb, so far out in promoting the Jihad,
that they cannot possibly, not for one minute, come to even the
lip-service aid of the Christians in the Middle East who are suffering
from Muslims being Muslims. It’s amusing to watch
And then there is the gun-running (oh,
and by the way, icon-stealing and re-selling to London icon galleries on
New Brook Street, through Greek intermediaries) Archbishop Kapudj, or
Cappucci.

Capucci were deployed near United Nations headquarters in Jerusalem by

area. He broke his promise and the Vatican made no effort to honor its

time serves as a reminder to Israel that there is absolutely no respect
for promises, assurances and guarantees.]
