Deceptions of President Obama-Part 1

PolitiAC Editors
Barack Obama.President Barack Obama is attempting to take credit for the execution of Osama bin Laden even though a breach of security is what actually forced his hand. While Wikileaks deserves severe rebuke for compromising national security; they also deserve far more credit for the death of bin Laden because their leaks painted a picture of inaction on the part of the White House. They forced Mr. Obama to change course because the leaked documents revealed Osama bin Laden had been found by U.S. soldiers on numerous occasions in 2009. At one point it became apparent that Bin Laden was having regular meetings. That meant he was appearing at the same location and at a predictable time; making him an easy target. Each time the troops radioed in to get authorization to attack bin Laden and his comrades; they were forced to wait approximately thirty minutes before finally being told to withdraw and return to their base of operations. Half an hour should be enough time to reach President Obama on the golf course or on vacation and get a thumbs up. Each time the troops got a thumbs down. By all appearances Barack Obama had been protecting Osama bin Laden for as long as he could until doing so became a liability for his troubled administration.

Protector-in-Chief
In August of 2010, the Department of Justice halted prosecution of Yemeni Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri for the USS Cole bombing; thanks in large part to protection provided by the Obama administration. Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder was a senior partner with Covington & Burling, a prestigious Washington, D.C. law firm before he was appointed to his current post. Covington & Burling represented 17 Yemenis that were held at Gitmo and contributed well over 3,000 hours of pro bono legal assistance to enemy detainees while Eric Holder worked there. Eric Holder also fought for the release of 16 violent FALN terrorists against the advice of the FBI, the U.S. Attorneys who prosecuted them, and the NYPD officers who were maimed by them when he was the Deputy Attorney General. The Obama administration has consistently demonstrated a loyalty to radical politics and prioritized them over protecting first responders and the public.

On September 10, 2010, at the White House, Ed Henry of CNN asked Barack Obama how the (alleged) hunt for Osama bin Laden was going. Mr. Obama smiled broadly, then quickly became serious and immediately dodged the question by changing the subject to the planned draw down in Iraq.

Seeking Credit Where Credit Isn’t Due
Barack Obama is now trying to take credit for taking out Osama bin Laden to gain an advantage over Mitt Romney in the 2012 Presidential election. At the time bin Laden was killed; gas prices were rising as the President was slipping in the polls which made it very apparent the extermination was 100% authorized for political gain. Wagging the dog accomplished. On the night of the carnage Barack Obama went on national television to announce the successful operation without U.S. flags in the background and without displays of national pride at the White House. Most surprisingly, the President aided the enemy by announcing that soldiers had gathered vital intelligence that was found at bin Laden’s compound. The same administration that demonized Julian Assange of Wikileaks also leaked information that was damaging to the United States and weakened national security. As soon as any enemy knows that someone has gathered vital intelligence; all they have to do is change their plans and the advantage against them disappears. Charging President Obama with aiding and abetting an enemy of the United States would not be far fetched especially when you connect the dots.

Connecting the Dots
1. Osama bin Laden along with many of his top people could have been eliminated in 2009 had Barack Obama simply authorized it. 2. When Mr. Obama revealed vital intelligence had been gathered right after Bin Laden was executed, it immediately informed Al Qaeda to change their plans and rendered the intelligence meaningless. 3. Add Eric Holder’s professional loyalties to the list and it clearly suggests the Obama administration was looking out for bin Laden and only executed him when the outpouring of embarrassing Wikileaks documents left them no other choice.

The Obama 2012 Campaign's Attempt to Blemish Mitt Romney
Mitt Romney.Although Mitt Romney did say “It’s not worth moving heaven and earth spending billions of dollars to catch one person” he was addressing the expense of war, not questioning the goal. There is no doubt that Osama bin Laden would have been put to death the moment Mr. Romney was alerted by U.S. forces because it’s a no brainer. The real question is why didn’t Barack Obama quickly extinguish bin Laden when he had multiple opportunities back in 2009?
