Herzliya Conference 2013
October 21 2012

The
RIGHT of Israel to exist and the will to exist must be the number one issue and
goal of all Jews whether secular or religious and no matter whatever
political conviction he or she may have. Hitler did not care how Jewish you
were when he stripped the European Jews of all dignity and forced them, by any
mean possible, into Ghettos first, and from there to the concentration camps killing
factories.
In
the 21st century we see a new Hitler come to power, named Mahmud Ahmadinejad, and
the rise of a global Nazi movement named Islamonazism.
If
any Jew, being religions, secular, assimilated, even married to a Moslem or
simply a denier and self hating of his or her Jewishness thinks that he or she
can and will escape the Islamonazis intentions to eliminate him or her, he or she
needs to look back only 70 years. The Nazis did not spare any Jew, no matter
how near or far to Judaism he or her were, and the Islamonazis will do the very
same.
The
difference is that now, ALL Jews have a home to go to, or run to, where they
will be protected or be able to fight for their survival; it is the nation
state of the Jewish nation, Israel.
Along
the ongoing efforts of Jews who understand the vital importance to defend
Israel, The Herzliya Conference was
born.
The
Herzliya Conference (http://www.herzliyaconference.org/) is the largest, and
growing, national security and public diplomacy conference in the world that
takes place each year in Israel. Established in 2000, the primary objective of
the Institute for Policy and Strategy (IPS) at the Inter-Disciplinary Center, (IDC),
Herzliya is to contribute to Israel’s national policy and to constantly upgrade
its strategic decision-making process. The Herzliya Conference and the work of the IPS at the IDC pride the discussion of important public
policy and national security issues facing Israel and the United States.
This
week, at a breakfast meeting that took place at the home of Marvin Markowitz,
organized by Jacob Segal of Investors Research Group and the Israeli
Chambers of Commerce, a group of most concerned and/or
curious people gathered to listen to Richard Heideman about the Herzliya Conference 2013.
Heideman, a senior counsel
at Heideman Nudelman & Kalik, PC law firm, is the chairman
of The Israel Forever Foundation (http://israelforever.org/) and the chair of the Herzliya
Conference International Advisory Board.
Richard Heideman, spoke passionately, had much to say and
I second him.
In defense of Israel we cannot be silent; speak up, write
and participate in activities that support this goal is crucial.
The three points of importance to promote are:
*We have to make sure that
the United States of America is and remains a staunch supporter and openly
shows ongoing unquestionable and undenied support for the state of Israel.
**There must be a red
line established on Iran's nuclear ambitions, and
***Demand for direct
negotiations, with NO preconditions, and peace talks to which the prime
minister of Israel must be publically invited by the Arab-Palestinians.
Apart from her surrounding enemies, Richard goes on, one
of Israel's main battlegrounds and a struggle stage is the United Nations arena.
There, when voting per country, no matter what Israel tries to do, she loses
from the get go. The majority members of this questionable organization make
believe that Jews just landed in the ancient land of Israel due to the Balfour
Declaration or some political agreement of world's powers that took place in
the San Remo Conference after the Ottoman Empire was dismantled. And these
propagated claims have settled well even with the European and US diplomats,
which is, of course, not the fact, rather anti-Israel propaganda.
When it comes to Israel, inherently, the UN applies
triple standard, one for democratic states, one for Tyrannical states and one
is reserved only for Israel.
Toxic, verbal and visual anti-Israel-anti-Semitism is
prevalent in the UN; attacking, maligning and delegitimizing Israel is the meal
of the day in the UN cafeteria. Calling Israel an Apartheid state and that all
the bad and wrong that takes place in the world is Israel and Jews' fault has
become the UN second nature. For the picture that is painted in the UN is that Israel
is Goliath and the UN member states are David. The defense or barrier wall
Israel has built, and so would have every country in the world under same
circumstances, that separates her citizens from and protects them from
murderous Arab-Palestinians attacks coming from the Palestinian Authority
territory is now called for question whether it is even legal. In other words,
the UN is questioning Israel right to and if she can defend herself, with any
possible mean, like any other country! For the UN member nations, Jewish blood
is Hefker, it is of no consequences. The people who have provided materials
to build this protective wall are now accused of war crimes and some dare to even state that the wall is
illegal. How dare they!?
Shamelessly,
Mahmoud Abbas, the chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), a declared terrorist organization, is welcome in the
UN corridors as if he is a world statesman.
If
the Arabs and their cohorts cannot kill the Jews and destroy Israel physically,
as they have tried thus far, they are
aiming to kill Israel legally, delegitimize her legality and this is the battle
field Israel has entered into in the 21st century.
Mahmoud
Abbas main objective is to make the Palestinian Authority a UN member state is
so he can take the Arabs' battlefield against Israel to the UN and the
International court. There he can charge Israel with war crimes and racism;
accuse her for being an Apartheid state, a human rights' abuser, and delegitimize
Zionism, as Zionism equating racism has already become part of the UN mantra
against Israel. If Israel "gains" the pejorative scorn name
"apartheid state", as South Africa was known to be, her chance of
surviving as a Jewish state is nil.
So let us get it straight. Though Israel proclaims herself to
be a secular, democratic and Jewish state, Israel cannot exist as a
secular,
democratic unJewish state. Such concept is oxymoronic per se.
Israel is meant to be a Jewish State and nothing else will do.
My question to my Jewish nation is: if all the above does
not give every Jew the chills and instills in him or her the drive to join the
troops who defend Israel what would?
Remember,
the guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Join the troop, partake in
The Herzliya Conference, an intellectual conference that creates an environment
for open stage speeches and debates on issues that one will not be able to be
part of or hear elsewhere. The 2013 Conference will be
addressing the global, regional and national political turbulence.
I say, the time to stand up and be counted is now.
