A regular columnist on religious affairs in the official Palestinian Authority daily chose to describe Jews/Israelis as "Allah's enemies, the children of Zion." They "kill, behave violently, spill blood, and desecrate sacred things," Sheikh Taleb Al-Silwadi wrote in his weekly column.
Writers for the religious section in the official PA daily have demonized Jews many times. Palestinian Media Watch reported that another regular columnist referred to the Jews' "evil nature" and described Judaism as a "distorted, corrupted, falsified religion."
Likewise, Jews/Israelis have been called enemies of Allah by official institutions of the PA. PMW has documented that the PA Mufti preaching in the Al-Aqsa Mosque referred to Jews as "enemies of Allah."
Similarly, at a Fatah event earlier this year, the Mufti chose to quote the Hadith (Islamic tradition attributed to Muhammad), saying that the Hour of Resurrection will not come until Muslims fight the Jews and kill them:
At the same event, the moderator chose to introduce the Mufti with the words,
"Our war with the descendants of the apes and pigs (i.e., Jews) is a war of religion and faith."
PMW documented that the Mufti applied the Hadith about Muslims killing Jews to today's conflict. The Mufti was condemned internationally for his hate speech.
The following is the excerpt of the column referring to Jews/Israelis as "Allah's enemies" in the official PA daily:
